Kronos Escapes Hell (Chapter Two)

             Kronos Escapes Hell (Chapter Two)

It had been 18 years since Anika and Sirle married.

They still lived on Vantera, the name it carried.

Anika gave birth to a set of male twins the first year.

Named Siran and Ansir, identical, they were.

They were powerful magicians and warriors.

Trained from birth, they excelled for sure.

They were as good, or better, than their parents.

Not taking time to think, being their worst errant.

They would mature and outgrow that.

They would be the greatest. It was a fact.

They knew all the history of Kronos and others.

They wished they could have fought him as brothers.

They could communicate with animals telepathically.

As well as each other and parents. It was a fact, you see.

They grew up with two black panthers.

Flash and Stealth, big and worse than cancer.

Offspring’s of Eros and Ra, who were old now.

They were also raised with eagles, wow.

They were the four offspring of Pern.

Watching them work made Anika’s heart yearn.

The panthers, twins, and eagles were deadly.

Always alert. Always ready.

Add Anika and Sirle to the group.

They were one deadly fighting troupe.

Sirle found that he was a telepath also.

At any time they were ready to go.

They had taken the boys to earth.

Showed them around the old hearth.

They had made the trip often.

Showed them where they fought to win.

Even showed them Kronos’s ruined castle.

Such a mess made walking around a hassle.

Kronos had become a legend now.

Almost ancient history somehow.

But, all of that was about to change.

Soon as Kronos had his plans arranged.

Kronos Escapes Hell (Chapter One)

         Kronos Escapes Hell (Chapter One)

Kronos appeared in front of his ruined castle.

He had made it back to his time with no hassle.

He threw stones aside using Black Magic.

If his books were ruined, it would be tragic.

A powerful spell protected the hidden room.

He would locate it real soon.

Not all his books had he brought to the cave.

The one now nonexistent, to his dismay.

A demon destroyed it when he was taken.

Kronos had learned his lesson, no mistaking.

He located the protected room in the castle.

Moved all books out by magic, without hassle.

He looked up a spell to detect magical spots.

The strongest, now known as Ireland, was hot.

Kronos traveled there. It took him 2 months.

Once there, he could zap back at once.

He found an underground dwelling.

Made it his base. There was no yelling.

Just remodeling, done by magic power.

Protected by many spells for the hour.

All books and anything else he needed.

He brought there, then he proceeded.

He connected to ‘The Shadow’ through time.

Transferred him there by just his mind.

The Shadow’ was shaken up at first.

Kronos said: “This is not a curse.”

I have brought you here to be my acolyte.”

Kronos told him all, to ‘The Shadow’s’ delight.

Kronos told him his entire life’s story.

You look so young.”  “What glory!”

Before I got dragged to hell,

I made a powerful spell that would dwell

In the Black Magical rift.”

To remain until a day like this.”

That ball of energy you opened was it.”

I knew, someday, somebody would be fit.”

Fit to bring me back from hell or the grave.”

So, you’re my acolyte, not a slave.”

We must go to work. I have a lot to teach you.”

Black Magic will speed up your lessons too.”

You will learn very rapidly without problem.”

You’ll face problems and you’ll solve them.”

With my help, it will be a snap.”

You won’t get caught in any trap.”

Kronos taught him all he knew.

Then, Kronos laid out what they would do.

Kronos had eons to make his plans.

His power had quadrupled throughout the land.

It was what sustained him while in hell.

Anika was done. That much he could tell.

Kronos Escapes Hell (Preface)

     Kronos escapes Hell (Preface)

The person known as  ‘The Shadow,’

Is about to make the world rattle.

He is leaning toward Black Magic.

He notices something odd, maybe tragic.

A tight knit ball of energy.

Black Magic generated, he could see.

This is very odd, he thought to himself.

Greater power was here, he felt.

He had to break it open somehow.

He’d been working for days, till now.

He felt something start to give.

This might give him power to live.

Suddenly, the whole room was engulfed,

A tremendous power was loose, he felt.

Then, a man appeared from nowhere.

A Warlock, from the clothes he did wear.

He looked like he was from an ancient time.

His cold black eyes stared into mine.

I was frozen to the spot with his gaze.

Where am I?” he said through the haze.

2017, you are in my lab.”

You are a Warlock then?” He said.

Magic was non-existent for eons.”  “Instead,

I learned how to tap into it again.”

You can then send me back to when.”

Who are you?” The Shadow  whined.

I am Kronos, the greatest Warlock of all time.”

I was defeated by Anika, a whimpy Wizard.”

I was sent to hell by demons.” “They delivered.”

I created a Black Magic link for this.”

You brought me here when you did persist.”

Now, I will tell you how to send me back.”

Revenge calls. I must put Anika on the rack.”

“Give her a taste of hell.”

Once she is dead, all will be well.”

I might bring you back as my assistant.”

An acolyte.” “I owe you for being persistent.”

The Shadow was cowering in the corner.

Kronos drew him out and said: “I scorn her.”

You will help me to return to my past.”

Kronos told him all to do. Then, at last,

A column of Black Fire appeared.

Kronos walked in and he disappeared.

The fire went out and The Shadow shook.

Such power, and Kronos didn’t use a book.

The Shadow determined to become his acolyte.

To control such power would be a fright.

But, he felt he was up to the task.

He would wait till Kronos returned, at last.

Until then, he would learn all he could on his own.

What happened next will chill you to the bone.

Magic Resurrected

          Magic Resurrected

Someone is sneaking around.

He’s like a shadow. Can’t be found.

What exactly is he up to?

Only The Shadow knows, you fool.

He’s spent his life researching things.

Mainly magic.—- That has a ring.

He has finally discovered,

or should I say uncovered.

That magic is dark matter.

That should really cause some chatter.

Earth passed through dark matter long ago.

Magic was strong. Days were dark though.

The dark matter was left behind.

Magic faded and had seen its time.

But, he has found a way in.

He can tap into dark matter again.

Capture the magic that knows no end.

Now he says: Let the fun begin.

He draws on dark matter way out in space.

By a method he devised in his place.

Will he use such power for good?

Or, go to the dark side, if he could?

That story is yet to tell.

The wrong choice could put us through hell.

The Dragon Rider Saves The Day

The Dragon Rider Saves The Day

The Dragon Rider was kicking back, about to snore.

He was thinking of his first date the day before.

He was awakened by a panicked mental alert.

His dragon was flying in for all she was worth.

‘Quick, get my big kit of medical supplies.’

‘We have got to hurry’ tears in her eyes.

‘Wendy’s dragon has been hurt. I heard his cries.’

“What? “Is Wendy o.k.? What happened?”

‘It was all due to a plan to trap them.’

He grabbed the medical supplies and climbed on.

His dragon took off. In no time they were gone.

His dragon was flying like a bat out of hell.

She just kept thinking: ‘I hope he will be well.’

In time, they headed for a narrow canyon.

He thought: ‘Is this where they landed then?’

‘Yes, he was hurt badly, but flew  safely away.’

‘Is Wendy o.k.? Does she know were on the way?’

‘Yes, and yes.’ ‘ I have relayed to him we are near.’

‘If we don’t hurry, death will be near.’

They zoomed down and landed safely.

Wendy came running, tearful and pasty.

They all rushed to her dragon’s side.

There was a large gash in his hide.

Gale explained that his dragon is a healer.

“Like a doctor to us”, as his dragon kneeled near.

He could hear his dragon’s thoughts.

Wendy could hear her dragon’s thoughts.

But they couldn’t hear  each others.

Gale said: “I will help her, though, I have my druthers.”

“She will work through me through mind control.”

“We have done it before, so this I know.”

He worked like in a trance, over the wound.

Reaching in, sprinkling herbs, etc. Soon,

he started suturing with a thin thread.

There was lots of blood from where he bled.

Gradually, the wound started to close.

A heavier suture got this done, unopposed.

Finally, Gale came out of his trance.

He was exhausted. He held a piece of lance.

“This is what has caused this wound.’

“Yes.” Wendy said. “It was thrown by a goon.”

“They were near where I live.”

“They ambushed us.”  She was livid.

“We will take care of them later.”

“First, we have to tend to your dragon’s fate here.”

For two days they guarded and nursed her dragon.

Then, they slowly flew to Gale’s cave, or tried then.

They had to stop often to rest.

Finally, they made it at sunset.

“We will be safe here.”

“You will have to stay till he is healthy, I fear.”

“I will be more than happy to stay.”

“I will help all I can, o.k.?”

It took a month for the wound to totally heal.

About then he took flight . ‘How does it feel?’

He told Wendy he felt great.

Did an ariel summersault and a little shake.

“Well, I guess it’s time for us to go.”

“Stay. We have a certain place to go.”

“Where is that?” Wendy asked.

“To destroy the ones who made this gash.”

He pointed to the scar on her dragon.

“Your dragon is no longer lagging.”

They made plans over the next few days.

But, that’s another story to display.

The Futility Of The Bottle

     The Futility Of The Bottle

Life ain’t much, but it’s all there is.

It will probably go out with a fizz.

Closing down the bars at 0200 every night.

Doing my best not to get in a fight.

Having nightly drunkalogs with the boys.

All through an alcoholic haze. What joy.

No one pays attention to us.

Just as long as we don’t disrupt.

We try to get out on the floor.

On weekends, music brings them in the door.

A few females will dance a little.

Most don’t like to be sprayed with spittle.

They come in with a date.

They don’t want an alcoholic mate.

It’s the same old thing every night.

Always trying to score. It’s such a fright.

The next day is always hell at work.

You feel like hell, but still you smirk.

“I had a super time last night.”

One of these days I’ll get it right.

In the meantime, here’s to you.

I raise my glass of liquid brew.

The Mastery Of Life

             The Mastery Of Life

The mastery of life never comes easy.

If it was, you would never leave me.

But, you did and my emotions died.

I felt so bad, I couldn’t cry if I tried.

I remember back to the candy store.

I always saw you going in the door.

She must love candy, I thought to myself.

Yet, you’re slim, the body of an elf.

Finally, I followed you in the store.

I found out what you were there for.

You worked there. I should have known.

By then, my fantasies. were full blown.

I came to get candy every day.

Enough so, that I heard you say:

“Are you a candy junkie?”

“No, or I would be a chunky monkey.”

“I come in just to see you.”

You were shocked through and through.

“Are you kidding me?”, you said.

“If not true, I’d rather be dead.”

Somehow, we ended up on a date.

For a long time things went great.

Things were to a commitment stage.

Then, we turned to the next page.

You went your way and I went mine.

It wasn’t until some other time.

You were gone for good, somehow.

I am not understanding, even now.

The mastery of life is beyond my grasp.

Like the gold ring I miss, going by too fast.

The lessons of life never come easy.

No one ever said they were easy peasy.

The parade is going by, but I’m on the side.

All I have to show is a little pride.

In the school of hard knocks I’m head of class.

I need to graduate. I don’t want to be brash.

Maggie May, Part II

                  Maggie May, Part II

Oh, Maggie, I finally got on back to school.

But, I still had to keep coming home to you.

I am at school while you are at work.

When home, first thing, you rip off my shirt.

Time away makes you horny. What a quirk.

I always secretly hoped we could make this work.

For sexual desire, you’re second to none.

But, you never want to go out just for fun.

Maggie May, I finally got back in school.

But, I can’t seem to get away from you.

You pull me in with your sexual ways.

We don’t save it for the rainy days.

Your sexual drive never runs low.

Though you’re older, you’re ready to go.

It takes all I have to keep up with you.

Cougars are powerful. I may be a fool.

Maggie, this may sound a little odd to you.

But, life has more to offer than sex and school.

It seems you are only interested in the one thing.

I would like to find out what else life can bring.

Other guys say I’m the luckiest man alive.

Finding a woman with your sex drive.

They don’t know what I really want to do,

is to be brave enough to walk out on you.

Maggie May, I finally got  back in school.

But, I can’t seem to get away from you.

You pull me in with your sexual ways.

We don’t save it for the rainy days.

Your sexual drive never runs low.

Though, you’re older, you’re ready to go.

Do Ya?

           Do Ya?

The pure white dove.

It’s a symbol of love.

But, you never cared for that,

do ya?

You drove that bird away.

The day he came your way.

You didn’t want any crap,

do ya?

The knights in days of old,

were quite chivalrous, I’ve been told.

You don’t know what it’s worth,

do ya?

A man of manners; a man of dignity.

Is a man you’ll rarely see.

Tell me. Do you think it’s a curse?

Do ya?

A monk can often be celibate

Yet, he hasn’t said the hell with it.

It’s his vows. You don’t comprehend,

do ya?.

You have no vows of your own.

Yet, your heart is made of stone.

Or, is it that you just pretend?

Do ya?

He is one who stays to himself.

His books and poetry is his wealth.

He, you avoided. Were you afraid?

Do ya?

Do ya run from every decent man?

Are you afraid of la la land?

Are you afraid of being laid?

Do ya?

Do ya fear what may transpire?

A romance that will set you on fire?

Or is it just an unknown fear?

Do ya?

Many species mate for life.

Does this translate to strife?

Is being a wife what you fear?

Do ya?

There is no answer in running away.

It will be just the same on any day.

Face your fears and  take a vow.

Do ya?

Do ya have the fortitude to step up?

Keep your life from becoming corrupt.

Do you think it is worth it now?

Do ya?

A Tough Message

       A Tough Message

I know it’s kind of late.

I didn’t mean to wake you.

I got something I’ve gotta say.

Something for you to do.

Many times I’ve tried to tell her.

But, the words just came out wrong.

You’ve got to tell my mother that you’re gone.

I knew you would understand.

You were always close to her.

Don’t say that I should be the man.

She didn’t expect this to occur.

I just don’t want to hurt her.

You can make her understand.

On this point, I am sure.

Better from a woman than a man.

I would like to help all I can.

I just don’t feel I can do it.

My emotions are like sifting sand.

I haven’t yet worked through it.

I think of all I would have to tell her.

It is so much for her to understand.

And for me, most of it is a blur.

It is better from a woman than a man.

I know it’s kind of late.

I didn’t mean to wake you.

I’ve got something I’ve gotta say.

Something for you to do.

Many times I’ve tried to tell her.

But, the words just came out wrong.

You’ve got to tell my mother that you’re gone.
