It’s A Crazy World

                 It’s a Crazy World

I was there when it started coming down.

There was no more happiness to be found.

All there was, was heartbreak and misery.

There was no way to reverse it, that I could see.

The parents told me to get the hell out.

But, I wasn’t going to sit around and pout.

I went about proving that they were wrong.

I didn’t want this to take too long.

I was not two timing their daughter.

It was all a bunch of hog fodder.

I will get the bastards who said such a thing.

They are not getting away with anything.

I followed my sources to the very end.

It pays to have some real friends.

The last clue fell into place.

I almost fell right on my face.

The culprit of rumors was my sister.

Just because I wouldn’t kiss her?

I told her it was the wrong thing to do.

I’d rather kiss my girlfriend than I would you.

She vowed to get revenge.

She wasn’t sorry, so why pretend.

So, I gave her a kiss and told her to talk.

Most won’t believe it, as likely as not.

She came clean about the whole darned thing.

Told the parents why she tried to make a scene.

The parents apologized for saying I flirted.

But, still no dating,  cause I was perverted.

I almost flew into a rage.

I felt like I was in a cage.

I’m not perverted, it is my sister.

They said that’s a real twister.

How do we know it doesn’t run in the family?

I said, I don’t try to give little girls candy.

They finally relented and said we could date.

My girlfriend said I was a little bit late.

She found another to occupy her time.

This whole thing almost blew my mind.

But, the men is white coats are nice to me.

They let me roam around on the grounds, you see.

My sister comes to visit now and then.

She seems to be dating my X- girlfriend.

Rainy Days

                   Rainy Days

Rainy days, they are here to stay.

They remind me of that special day.

The day we met, and so it started.

Still together, we haven’t parted.

Even on the day we got married.

It rained a lot, but we didn’t tarry.

Rainy days are our special days.

We go to movies and see plays.

We stay at home and snuggle too.

We just enjoy whatever we do.

You name it, we’ve done that too.

We don’t live in a flood zone.

We don’t have to save our home.

We just make the most of it.

It seems to help our love to grow.

Wonderful blessings seem to flow.

Too much rain isn’t very good.

Still love will grow, like it should.

Rainy days and Mondays are around.

But, they never get us down.

For us, it is a magical time.

Makes us feel like we’re in our prime.

I don’t know how rain makes you feel?

Like a cat or like a seal.

One hates it, the other loves it.

I hope, for you, the one that fits

is the one that makes you pleased.

Not the one that will make you sneeze.

Getting Together

            Getting Together

If, and when, you come around.

Use the key hidden on the ground.

It’s in the back, behind the trash.

In a cracked planter, is my stash.

Let yourself in, I’ll be there soon.

I’m fishing down at Blue Lagoon.

If you come, I  know you want help.

You’ve been dumped by another whelp.

I am always waiting for you.

I am pretty sure you know that too.

Sure, I date, and run around.

Just like you, or so I’ve found.

Yet, I am always available.

When it comes to you, I can’t say no.

We both thought we needed time.

Time to ‘sow your oats,’ and mine.

But, the pattern never changes.

You can never remain his.

Whoever it is you are dating.

He is not someone for mating.

You come running back to me.

To be comforted and not lonely.

I often feel the same way too.

When my affairs seem to fall through.

Its been long enough to see the light.

We belong with one another, all right.

Time to consider our relationship.

It needs to become a major trip.

Let’s start being true to one another.

Let’s both admit there is no other.

We have missed out on so much.

Because we didn’t want to rush.

We know we truly love one another.

Time to stop treating me like a brother.

The Sea And Me

       The Sea And Me

Walking along by the sea.

This is a dream world to me.

I hear the waves breaking.

All the while, my heart is aching.

I used to walk with another.

Now my life is in the gutter.

She is no longer at my side.

She used to love to watch the tide.

This all brings back memories.

Even the crisp and salty breeze.

Many wonderful days spent here.

Now, it’s blurry through my tears.

I pick up a shell to hear the sea.

It’s her voice, or seems to be.

She is saying she met another.

This is what tore us asunder.

I watch a ship, way out at sea.

It seems to be calling out to me.

Get on board and sail away.

Forget about this terrible day.

But, I know that will not happen.

I head back to my little cabin.

The sea shore isn’t what it used to be.

When it was only you and me.

Given time, I may find another.

In the meantime, I just shudder.

Why is this all happening to me?

Is there somewhere else I’d rather be?

No, the green eyed lady is my friend.

I will keep coming here again.

To get condolence? I don’t know.

It just eases my very sole.

It washes away all that is bitter.

But, it will take time to quit her.

Never feel bad about it all.

Pride always goeth before a fall.

Long Winter Nights

  Long Winter Nights

The nights are long.

The days are short.

Since you are gone,

There’s little to report.

This winter is cold as hell.

Every day cuts like a knife.

Look how much snow fell.

Facing it without a wife.

Life alone, and snowed in.

Time passes slow as molasses.

I play solitaire, sometimes gin.

Use the computer, till it crashes.

I could do more with you.

We kept busy all the time.

Plenty of things for us to do.

Now, I have nothing, but time.

Time to think, and to cry.

Time to sort out the blame.

Can’t get past the you in I.

One or the other is the same.

I hear a snow mobile near.

I go outside to see what’s up.

It is you, my darling dear.

My face became all lit up.

You flew into my arms.

Kisses covering me all over.

I am captured by your charms.

The snow becomes crimson and clover.

About what happened is not spoken.

We are now as one forever.

The fire is hot, no longer smoking.

Wrapped in a blanket, we cuddle together.

Before we know it, spring is here.

Snow is gone. Flowers are in bloom.

We are both extremely happy, it is clear.

Soon, another will join us in this room.

Something Went Amiss

     Something Went Amiss

What the hell in going down?

Middle class is in the ground.

They have buried us for good.

Goodbye to our neighborhood.

Smash and slash is the way.

We see it happening every day.

Smash taxes then slash your pay.

Lower class has nothing to say.

Middle class is  extinct at last.

Can’t buy paper to wipe your ass.

It is the very rich and lower class.

Basically the rich and the trash.

Is this “Make America Great?”

They take everything you make.

There needs to be real change.

Someone new to take the reins.

Or,—- has it all gone too far?

No way to reverse this car.

Rapidly racing to destruction.

No way to bring a disruption.

Bend down and kiss it goodbye.

Not worth giving it a try.

The big “S” is coming on strong.

Socialism is definitely wrong.

Yet, it seems, full steam ahead

is the only thought in people’s heads.

We should learn from our mistakes.

But, we don’t have what it takes.

Roll over in your graves Republic Founders.

Your beautiful dream now flounders.

A Cashless Society

             A Cashless Society

The value of the dollar is going down.

You can see where we are bound.

Can you see any reasonable way out?

This is what it is all about.

The latest answer is pretty weird.

It is the direction we are being stirred.

The Federal Reserve will issue bit coins.

“Fed coins”, or something, will be coined.

They will rapidly replace paper money.

People, at first, will like it plenty.

Till they see how their privacy is destroyed.

This is something that can’t be ignored.

We have all heard it before in the Bible.

If you don’t comply, you’ll be more than liable.

Can’t buy or sell without  a mark & # of his name.

A bit coin, or ‘Fed Coin’ is a start. Make it plain.

It’s a small step from there to a ‘chip.’

Embedded under your skin to be quick.

It will contain all there is to know about you.

Your privacy is gone, whatever you do.

All purchases or sales done through the ‘chip.’

You can easily be barred from any of it.

Say your religious belief didn’t agree

with whatever was allowed by the powers that be.

You would be barred from buying or selling.

I am sure of this without even yelling.

Best to hide out and avoid the ‘chip.’

If you are caught, you will be in for it.

It is much closer than you think.

We are standing right on the brink.

Get your affairs in order.

We are right on the border.

Make sure your life is right with God.

The end times are here. This isn’t odd.

Don’t be caught unprepared.

Remember, He has always cared.

That is why He warned us of the end.

It’s in the Bible. Why pretend?

There is only one way out.

That’s what the 2ond coming of Jesus is about.

More Than A Friend

          More Than A Friend

When you came to me in the light,

I knew I wouldn’t be afraid in the night.

I knew I wanted you to stay.

There is not much more I can say.

The world is dark and you are light.

Things that happen make me uptight.

They scare me and it won’t go away.

Maybe things will be different someday.

You calm me down and that is well.

You have a way to quiet the quell.

Darkness moves over the land.

You come close and hold my hand.

The angel of death makes its flight.

I ask you to hold me tight.

Hell breaks loose and all is moved.

Stand by me,—– I behoove.

Finally, light breaks upon the land.

I will smile,—– if I can.

You have brought me through.

I am truly indebted to you.

This world is full of sin.

There is no way I can win.

Just cling to you until the end.

You are so much more than a friend.

The Final Decision

         The Final Decision

If I go into the silence with you,

what will happen to all we knew?

You were my favorite song.

Not to hear it would be all wrong.

Is there anything there to see?

Is it the right place for you and me?

If we go, there’s no coming back.

I am not sure that’s where it is at?

True, others have done the same.

No one knows of what became?

I have considered long and hard.

We could be playing the wrong card.

Have you considered other options?

None that you say would top them?

Things are not the best they could be.

I guess it is a way to be free.

From frying pan into the fire.

Talk about coming down to the wire.

It does take a lot of faith.

Possibly faith misplaced.

A one way trip with no way back.

I am not sure I am ready for that.

You say you can’t go without me.

Time to find other ways to be free.

Trouble On The Muni

       Trouble On The Muni

I took a ride on a Muni bus.

Everyone was in a rush.

A man started throwing a fit.

Started cussing and wouldn’t quit.

He pulled an old lady out of her seat.

Then sat down before anyone could speak.

The old lady hit him with her cane.

He called her a whore by name.

He got up and punched her lights out.

She hit the floor without a shout.

People grabbed him without a word.

As the driver pulled to the curb.

They threw him off the bus.

He started to rant and cuss.

The driver pulled back into the street.

As the guy was climbing to his feet.

Later, I read in a local paper.

The guy thrown off turned into a hater.

He tried to sue the old lady & the bus line.

Said they hurt him & he wasn’t fine.

Someone recorded it all with their phone.

The jury watched it as he let out a groan.

He is in the slammer now for assault.

I hope he knows how the old lady felt.

But, most likely, he didn’t learn a thing.

Who knows what trouble these idiots will bring.
