Fanatical Fan

         Fanatical Fan

I am coming down.

Will you come around.

To my way of thinking.

I say it while winking.

There is much to discuss here.

While we sit and have a beer.
Let’s have a meeting of the minds.

We are running out of time.

“Will you, or will you won’t?”

“Just say I do and not I don’t.”

“It is impossible for me to know

just exactly which way you’ll go?”

We have dated for a long time.

We have always got along just fine.

It is time to up the ante.

Talk about something that can be.

It takes commitment and dedication.

A stronger stand in our relations.

There will be ups and there will be downs.

Sometimes we may feel like a clown.

But, the time is here to knuckle down.

Let’s have no more playing around.

Seasonal tickets is the way to go.

Will you say yes, or will you say no?

Not The Way To Win A Trip

Not The Way To Win A Trip

Shout it to all, hill over dale.

Today I won a trip in the mail.

Off to Alaska. All expenses paid.

Sounds like I have got it made.

I called the #,—- all excited.

He wanted info. I didn’t fight it.

He said I had a meeting to go to.

What else did I have to go through?

Two hours of my precious time.

Then, the trip would be all mine.

It was a time share. Imagine that.

They wanted my business. It’s a fact.

The two hours stretched to four.

I was ready to walk out the door.

We said “No!” a hundred times.

They were kind, but had set minds.

Finally, they wore us down.

They offered the best deal in town.

Now, we were ready for our trip.

It was all supplied in a little kit.

A hundred hoops to jump through.

Really limited on when we flew.

It took many calls to get it set.

Have we sacrificed enough yet?

We finally got the trip to Alaska.

If you ever go I won’t ask ya.

Cause, if your trip is like ours ,

you won’t want to go that far.

The trip really sucked big time.

Surely, the worst trip we could find.

Now we owe our lives to a time share.

I hope this makes you all aware.

It is a trap well worth avoiding.

In the end you’ll feel like voiding.

Glory, Or Gloom And Doom?

   Glory, Or Gloom And Doom?

Soon, there will come a day.

When all of this will go away.

It will not be by my choice.

No one listens to my voice.

I hate predicting gloom and doom.

But,—- the end is coming soon.

Are you ready for the brave new world?

Is your makeup on & your hair all curled?

You will soon be carried away.

To a place you can’t imagine today.

A place to wonderful to be dreamed.

Yet, it will be all that it seems.

That is, if you go the right direction.

Otherwise, don’t look at your reflection.

It will be a hideous place.

Best you always hide your face.

It will be warm there. Hot, in fact.

Hot enough to burn your back.

Burn even more in the end.

Destroying all that is within.

Best to walk on the narrow road.

It will lead to glories untold.

The guidebook will tell you how.

It’s called The Bible. Read it now.

Follow all that it directs you to.

He is the one who will come for you.

Let Him guide you in every way.

Start doing it right now, today.

Then, no longer worry about your future.

It will all be good, to be sure.

You will be a son or daughter of the Lord.

A member of the royal family. Welcome aboard.

Time To Step Up

         Time To Step Up

It’s true, one and one makes two.

All, except for me and you.

For us, it is plain to see.

One and one is gonna make three.

It was a ‘home run’ one night.

A single date that ended right.

That was it till you began to show.

Now, it seems, everyone will know.

This may not work out right.

I am praying that it might.

If it doesn’t, there will be new math.

One and one will equal two and a half.

I am ready to be a father.

My feelings are more than water.

We didn’t end on a sour note.

I didn’t say “That’s all she wrote.”

We just never connected again.

No, I’m not like other men.

I am responsible for my actions.

Sorry if I cause the wrong reaction.

Let’s get together and start all over.

Soon, we will be rolling in clover.

I am ready to make the commitment.

We both have all the equipment.

Let’s put it together and make a family.

Show everyone just how it can be.

We don’t have to, but we want to.

Only the best for me and you.

One Of These Days

   One Of These Days

One of these days.

I will write my memoirs.

I will try to really say

how it really was.

I will try to lay it on the line.

How I felt deep inside.

Talk of times that were fine.

Talk of offspring with pride.

Mention the bad times too.

Times I would like to forget.

Yet, they were part of me & you.

Times I can’t really regret.

One of these days.

I will really reminisce.

Talk of the different ways

things changed to progress.

There is much to be said.

It all happened along the way.

It wasn’t all in my head.

It was just any old kind of day.

Except for all we did and said.

We had fun in different ways.

Vows were respected when we wed.

They were called the good old days.

One of these days.

I will set the story straight.

Open the eyes of all who stay.

Pull up a seat and don’t be late.

If you have wondered about the past?

Often thought about those times.

Wondered why they didn’t last?

I will tell the truth this time.

Tell just how it all happened.

What brought an end to the good old days.

I won’t vary it a fraction.

The reason is hard to understand today.

One of these days.

One of these days.

Day And Night

Day And Night

It was a day.

It was a day.

Oh, what a day.

I came to play.

It was today.

Oh, what a day.

In the end,

 I had to stay.

It was a day.

Oh, what a day.

It was a night.

Oh, what a night.

It was this night.

We were a sight.

Oh, what a night.

We didn’t fight.

We got it right.

I had to stay.

Oh, what a night.

Now, it’s every night.

Co- Dependent?

            Co Dependent??

I needed you then. I need you now.

You could always show me how.

You would show me a better way.

That’s why I wanted you to stay.

Time has passed, but little changed.

I tell you truly, I still feel the same.

As usual, you have much work to do.

I know you will help me see it through.

I wanted more. From the very start.

You reigned me in. It’s quite an art.

You kept me from becoming a fool.

That is why I will always need you.

You rule my very soul.

I pray you’ll never go.

Without you, I would be lost.

I want you near at any cost.

You never asked a thing in return.

You acted as if you weren’t concerned.

I am willing to do all you need.

It has always been my creed.

But, that’s not how I want it to be.

You mean so very much to me.

All I do is done in love from my heart.

That’s why I wish we will never  part.

I wanted more from the very start.

You reigned me in. It’s quite an art.

You kept me from becoming a fool.

That is why I will always need you.

You rule my very soul.

I pray you’ll never go.

Without you, I would be lost.

I want you near at any cost.

The Wind Of Change

The Wind Of Change

I look out upon the barren and dusty land.
There is little sign at all left from man.
This is said to once be a great city.
Not much in sight as far as I can see.
Here and there traces of ruins sticking up.
Like a giants fingers raising from the muck.
All around, the forest is closing in.
Soon, it will cover it all again.
Man’s time has come and gone.
There was a time when he was strong.
He ruled the world and all that was in it.
But, for mother earth, he didn’t give a sh–.
He became so arrogant he destroyed his race.
Very little reminders remain in any place.
The wind of change has covered all.
Man returned to dust after his fall.
Mother earth is returning to her glory.
The wind of change has done it for free.
Man is gone, but nature goes on.
Soon, another will sing their song.
I pray they learn from what’s left of man.
Try to realize what happened, if they can.
The chances of this are pretty slim.
The learning must come from within.
The only constant is the wind of change.
Be one with it, or you won’t remain.

A Home Away From Home

A Home Away From Home

We went to a new planet to check it out.
This is what our job is all about.
We have been to extremely hostile places.
Places we were sorry we showed our faces.
Exploration of earth like planets.
With future colonization, if the plan fits.
This planet was similar to the one in Avatar.
Except no dangerous beasts seen near or afar.
All animal life was very friendly.
Nothing was found to be called an enemy.
The intelligent life was humanoid in shape.
Friendly, a simple way of life, a harmony of fate.
All life was one, yet, each knew their own.
Life was respected by all, it was shown.
All life could connect mentally, even plant life.
That was why there was no fighting or strife.
They taught us how to ‘tune in’ mentally.
What an awakening!! ——Eventually,
We became one with all life that was there.
We would never harm even a hair.
The place was beautiful, wonders to behold.
Put the 7 wonders of earth to shame, I’m told.
We could NOT allow man to destroy paradise.
We marked this planet unfit. That was nice.
Yet, we would return. We called it home.
And so it will be for us who roam.

Love To The Victor

Love To The Victor

I heard he’s back in town.
Better when he was not around.
I had you all to my own.
Spent hours with you on the phone.
He did you dirty and made you cry.
He was not a very nice guy.
My heart went out to you.
I wanted to do all I could do.
Try to repair the damage he did.
Restore your trust in another kid.
But, I tremble since he is back in town.
Will you want to get back with this clown?
I pray such a thing will never happen.
If it does, I will feel like crap then.
I gave you the best of my love.
Seems to me, we fit like a glove.
But, you really had it bad for him.
Once he was done, your trust was thin.
I know you were really hurt before.
I want to say it should be nevermore.
Then, we saw him coming down the street.
Looking so smug and so complete.
God’s answer to women, he thinks.
He can get what he wants with just a wink.
I stood there afraid to move.
I felt like my feet were glued.
What would you do when he saw you?
There would be little that I could do.
Then, all my fears and worries were set free.
You turned around and walked away with me.
