\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Reminiscing<\/strong><\/p>\n Remember when bullies were few & far between?<\/p>\n It just wasn\u2019t in people\u2019s nature to be so mean.<\/p>\n People have called them the good old days.<\/p>\n I guess they were good in their own ways.<\/p>\n A whole lot different than things are today.<\/p>\n People spoke up if they had something to say.<\/p>\n They didn\u2019t worry about drive by shootings.<\/p>\n They were more concerned with their shoestrings.<\/p>\n Did they have cardboard for the holes in their soles?<\/p>\n Were their clothes washed & hung between poles?<\/p>\n Sabbath days were days to look forward to.<\/p>\n First to church, then maybe to the zoo.<\/p>\n Or, at least a picnic, if the weather was nice.<\/p>\n The whole family came. We ate every bite.<\/p>\n During the summer free movies were shown.<\/p>\n Downtown, in the park, for the kids & grown.<\/p>\n No matter if you walked to school or rode a bus.<\/p>\n It was plenty of fun for all of us.<\/p>\n Riding your bike to the local swimming hole.<\/p>\n Racing other kids with your dog in tow.<\/p>\n Staying up late to look at the stars.<\/p>\n Trying to tell which one was Mars.<\/p>\n Building forts and tree houses too.<\/p>\n Throwing spit wads while in school.<\/p>\n Numerous other fun things we did.<\/p>\n are much different than today\u2019s kids.<\/p>\n We had no computers to play games on.<\/p>\n We made up games to play on the lawn.<\/p>\n We did use guns, but, only for hunting.<\/p>\n We didn\u2019t think killing was a fun thing.<\/p>\n We didn\u2019t have a lot of money or things.<\/p>\n We still got by. We thought we were kings.<\/p>\n We learned to love God and trust in him.<\/p>\n We knew if it was wrong it was a sin.<\/p>\n We knew to treat others like ourselves.<\/p>\n We didn\u2019t believe in pixies or elves.<\/p>\n We just loved life & all it was worth.<\/p>\n WE loved & respected this place called earth.<\/p>\n ——————————————————R.
