\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Wind And I<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is my life and all I have done.<\/p>\n

It has been different, but\u00a0lots of fun.<\/p>\n

I have been called successful along the way.<\/p>\n

Still, it was a struggle, day after day.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I have been profoundly deaf over half my life.<\/p>\n

This has caused some problems and strife.<\/p>\n

I overcame my hearing loss early on.<\/p>\n

Before the last little bit was finally gone.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I used my many and various other senses.<\/p>\n

Sight, touch, smell, and brains, not being defensive.<\/p>\n

I compare my life to the wind all around.<\/p>\n

Why?\u00a0 Because, of itself, it has no sound.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Till it touches something where it is bound.<\/p>\n

Then, all are aware of the wind, I’ve found.<\/p>\n

I too, can’t ‘hear’ a recognizable sound.<\/p>\n

But, by the people I’ve touched, I’ve found.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

They are aware of me like they are the wind.<\/p>\n

I try to stick to my principles and seldom bend.<\/p>\n

The wind and I have made ourselves known.<\/p>\n

By who and what we touch, it has been shown.<\/p>\n
