Coming into town on the afternoon train.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I hope this long trip is not in vain.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I have been gone for way too long.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I know its been eons I have been gone.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The shadows from trees flash across my face<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

as I contemplate going back to the place.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Back to where and when it all started.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I often wish we had never parted.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Yet, I had to leave for the reasons you know.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

You said you would wait through sleet and snow.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It has taken much longer than expected.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

My letters to you were never neglected.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

But, lately, responses have been fewer.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I am nervous, thinking that you flew.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Our romance, put on hold too long.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Till, eventually, another came along.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The train is finally slowing in its approach.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I am praying I am not met with reproach.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Passengers unload and then it\u2019s my turn.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I can feel my stomach began to churn.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I step down and you fly into my arms.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

All kisses and tears and all your charms.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I am overwhelmed with joy and tears.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I hold you like I won\u2019t let go for years.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I will never be going away again.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It is over. I am staying until the end.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We have a lot to catch up on.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

But, we have time. Now is our song.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
