It was time to rise.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Something grimy was in my eyes.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I staggered to the bathroom & washed my face.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I started looking all around the place.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n What a mess. I\u2019ve been depressed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Feeling to poor to clean it\u00a0up, I guess.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I brushed my teeth and combed my hair.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I put on clean clothes. But, still didn\u2019t care.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The pain lasts so long, since you\u2019ve been gone.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Along the way, I\u2019ve lost my song.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Nothing seems to have any meaning.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I just drift along without any feeling.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I made some breakfast, but didn\u2019t sit down.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I just wasn\u2019t hungry, without you around.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I got my coat and headed for the door.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I had nowhere to go that wasn\u2019t a bore.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I walked along and turned into a park.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Last time I was there was after dark.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Couples were walking and holding hands.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Chatting together and making plans.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The pain lasts so long, since you\u2019ve been gone.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Along the way, I\u2019ve lost my song.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Nothing seems to have any meaning.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I just drift along without any feeling.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n It all reminded me of better times.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I leave the park and try to unwind.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Up ahead I see a movie marquee.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I go in to see what there is to see.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n It was a romance.
