It\u2019s as far as it goes.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n This Northwest Passage is impossible to sail.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n We just sit here and hear the wind wail.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n We have been frozen in \u00a0for two months.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n There is not enough food to eat lunch.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n We are down to one meal a day.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n There is no more food on the way.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n A decision must be reached.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Some one has to go for relief.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Set out across the frozen waste.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n They must travel with much haste.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n So, a few were selected to Make the trek<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n They may die but, what the heck.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n To not go means death for sure.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n To be frozen is not an attractive lure.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n There\u00a0are rumors about \u2018The Terror.\u2019<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The name given to something out there.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n It can be heard out on the frozen waste.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Waiting, to have a human to taste.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n No one knows just what it looks like.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Some\u00a0kind of pre-historic, ugly type.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Something big with very sharp teeth.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n It is hungry for something to eat.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The rescue team has gone away.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Yet, \u201cThe Terror,\u2019 seems to stay.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n We don\u2019t know if we will last <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n We keep guard from the mast.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Time drags on and we grow weaker.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Soon,—– we will meet the creature.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n We say our prayers and make our peace.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n We\u2019ll do all we can to avoid\u00a0its teeth.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n One man from the rescue team survived.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Help was sent.
