\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Poetry In The Country<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Country roads took me there.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n A place to live without a care.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Not that many people around.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n It was near a very small town.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I would kick back & do my thing.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Making the keyboard\u00a0 keys ring.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Typing poems was my hobby.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I worked at not being to shoddy.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I wrote poems about many things.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Life and love and angels with wings.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Whatever would come to mind.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Put it on my web site, if I had the time.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n One morning, I went into town.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Needed coffee and some ground round.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I saw a little caf\u00e9. It was open.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I went in to wet my throat then.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I decided I would have some breakfast.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Bacon, eggs, toast, & coffee should last.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n This beautiful girl came over to me.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n She smiled nice & said \u201cWhat will it be?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I couldn\u2019t speak, I was so surprised.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n It took my breath away looking into her eyes.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I stammered and said \u201cYes, I am ready.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n She said \u201cThe special today is spaghetti.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cOh, no. I would like some\u00a0 breakfast.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n She took my order, as you might guess.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n She came back with the coffee; cream to.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n She said \u201cAre you just passing through?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I told her I have a place close to town.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n She was looking at me with a frown.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I said \u201cWhat are you frowning about?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t remember you.\u201d, with doubt.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI just moved in about a month ago.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n She smiled big & said \u201cOh?, Glad to know.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI was born & raised in this small town.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t get around much.\u201d she frowned.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cAre you married with kids?\u201d I said.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cHardly, No boyfriend. Still unwed.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t mean to pry.\u201d I said with strife.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cHow about yourself? No wife?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cNo, single. I moved here to write poems.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI do it as a hobby. Not for coins.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cHow do you make a living then?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cLucky. I have a good lottery win.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n She brought me my breakfast then.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n As I ate, she watched with a grin.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cOh, don\u2019t let me bother you.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI was just surprised at what you do.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cWhy, don\u2019t you like poems or something?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cNo, I write them myself, it\u2019s my thing.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cReally, I would love to read some sometime.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cAnytime with me would be just fine.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n This started a relationship with no end.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Neither of us knew just where to begin.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n But, we had no lack of poetic material.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n We both wrote them. We knew it was real.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I would like to say that this is the end.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n But, it keeps coming back again & again.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Where this is going, who can tell?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n But, we\u2019re both young, so what the hell!!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n ———————————–R.
