He had been a bad man all his life.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

That\u2019s why he was on death row.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Today is the last day of the fight<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

to try to keep his life in tow.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Execution time was approaching fast.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

His last meal was being eaten.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Soon, the walk that would be his last<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

would come. He felt beaten.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cDead man walking\u201d it was known as.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

That \u00a0walk to meet his maker.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t give the guards any sass.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

He was quiet. No longer a taker.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The pastor asked if he had any last words.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Then, he saw a person of light.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

He was real. It was not absurd.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

No other saw him. There was no fight.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The being said \u201cThe Lord knows your heart.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAre you sorry for all your sins?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cDo you ask forgiveness This is no lark.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The man said \u201cYes, yes. How do I begin?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe being said \u201cIt is done. You are saved.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018Your name is written in the book of life.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThough, for your sins on earth, you must pay.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cYour eternity is assured without any strife.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The light faded away. He said \u201cI am sorry\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The pastor said \u201cBless you my son.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cMay you sleep in eternal rest.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

At that the man got a real smile on his face.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

As the IV dripped the fluid into his arm,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

to put him to sleep. He smiled .<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

He seemed to truly not be alarmed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cHe has found peace\u201d the pastor said, without denial.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
