Behold, the beauty of a tree.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Then a dog has to pee.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Maybe the beauty of a sparkling brook.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Till pollution destroys the nook.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s be real, there\u00a0are still the forests.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Till someone starts a fire, of course.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

How about a lovely blue sky.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Polluted with smog, bad enough to cry.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

There are animals in nature running free.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Before they become extinct, you see.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Think of the oceans & all its life.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Till pollution kills them like a knife.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

You say what is the matter with me?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The negative side is all that I see.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It is all a sign of the times.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Man is almost finished with his crime.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The crime of killing mother earth.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Now, you tell me what it\u2019s worth?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

A burned out planet that can\u2019t support life.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I say what I say to avoid this strife.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Maybe my words will wake people up.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Stop this insanity before it erupts.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Save the earth and all life on it.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Grow up people. This is not a sonnet.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It is a brief message of the state of things.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Too bad we all don\u2019t have wings.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

So we could fly off to somewhere new.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Like the fairies do when trouble brews.<\/p>\n

Nice fantasy thinking but, it don\u2019t fly.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Instead of sitting around getting high.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Get out there and spread the word.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Make sure your voice is heard.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Before we reach the point of no return.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

By then we will all deserve to burn.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
