<\/p>\n
Night Flight<\/p>\n
I see her moving through the night.<\/p>\n
Not much more than a shadow.<\/p>\n
I want to keep her in my\u00a0 sight.<\/p>\n
If my nerves were not so raddled.<\/p>\n
Then I see her take to flight.<\/p>\n
To believe my eyes is a real battle.<\/p>\n
She rides the wind like a kite.<\/p>\n
Like a cowboy in the saddle.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I run to meet her as she lands.<\/p>\n
I look but, she\u2019s not there.<\/p>\n
Then I feel the touch of hands.<\/p>\n
She runs them through my hair.<\/p>\n
I\u00a0 jump but, try to be a man.<\/p>\n
As I turn, she\u2019s standing there.<\/p>\n
She smiles and covers with a fan.<\/p>\n
All I can do, with effort,\u00a0 is stare.<\/p>\n

She smells like the air after a rain.<\/p>\n
Clean and fresh and alive with life.<\/p>\n
She says \u201cNo, you\u2019re not insane\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI am a creature of the night.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cTo me flying is just a game.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI put my heart into each flight.\u201d<\/p>\n
I stammer and try not to sound lame.<\/p>\n
I say \u201c Your as beautiful as a starlit night.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
She smiles and says\u201d Would you like to join me?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI can take you to ride the wind.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI say \u201c Anything, if, with me you\u2019ll be.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYou cannot go without me to send.\u201d<\/p>\n
I hold her hand and soon I feel free.<\/p>\n
Flying through the night on the wind.<\/p>\n
I cannot describe what there was to see.<\/p>\n
I am\u00a0 wishing she will stay with me then.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
She says it is impossible. \u201cI am only here at night\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cOnce a month when the moon is full.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThat is when I make my flight.\u201d<\/p>\n
I say \u201cWhere are you from\u00a0 & where do you go?\u201d<\/p>\n
She says \u201cI am a creature of the night.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe rest is only for me to know.\u201d<\/p>\n
She says \u201cIt is time for me to take my final flight.\u201d<\/p>\n
I yell\u00a0 \u201cI will be here whenever the moon is full.\u201d<\/p>\n
