A mysterious fog appeared in the evening.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The kind that makes you think of people grieving.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Funny noises were heard coming from the fog.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Screeches, scraping, gurgling, like from a bog.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

A friend went outside to check it out .<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t come back. He was nowhere about.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We were In a log cabin in the woods.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Lights front and back only lit up what it could.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We looked out all of the windows.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We only saw fog. It gave us chills.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Suddenly, all the lights went out.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We were scared, as we looked about.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We found a lantern and got it lit.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The dog was barking. Throwing a fit.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We heard some thumping on the door.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Then a loud crash , and we heard no more.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

There were 3 of us still in the cabin.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We were all afraid of what would happen.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We lit a fire in the fireplace real quick.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We locked all windows & doors. Candles were lit.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Then the moaning outside began.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The girls said \u201dCheck it out. Be the man.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not going out there. I swear.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThere is something totally wrong out there.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWhy is there a fog in the middle of summer?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAll that noise out there is a real bummer.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI think maybe we entered the Twilight Zone.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cOh, be real, will you. Where is your phone?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t have a land phone. No cell service either.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cMy wife wanted to be secluded. Do you want to beat her?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

A scream came from behind the cabin.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It sounded like a bunch of man men.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We were all really getting shook up.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I was feeling a cramp in my gut.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t you even have a TV?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cYes, but the power is off, you see.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cLet me out of here!!\u201d, & one girl ran out.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

She was gone before we could even shout.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It was quiet for a short spell.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Then, she screamed & started yelling \u2018help!\u2019<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I grabbed my rifle and a few shells.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIf it comes in I\u2019ll blow it to hell.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIf what comes in\u201d she said.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWhatever wants to make us dead.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Then there began a shaking.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Like an earthquake in the making.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It stopped and we looked outside.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

No more fog. Nowhere to hide.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We went outside and found nothing.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Our friends were gone. We started cussing.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat the hell just happened here?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI have no idea. Just give me a beer.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We never found out another thing. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We were afraid what it all would bring.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We told the law the friends left for town.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They never came back. They were nowhere around.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The law made a missing persons search.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They never got a single alert.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The mystery has never been solved.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We wouldn\u2019t mention the fog, we avowed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
