There\u2019s a light on in your house today.<\/p>\n

But, you\u2019re not there. You\u2019ve gone away.<\/p>\n

I wanted so for you to stay—– to stay.<\/p>\n

You seemed so distant and far away.<\/p>\n

I couldn\u2019t give you a reason to stay.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The little things, they mean alot.<\/p>\n

They give hope where there is not.<\/p>\n

But, negative things hang on & rot.<\/p>\n

Though one of us may have forgot.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m sorry to say—- that I forgot.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Communication opens up the door.<\/p>\n

It allows us to get to the very core.<\/p>\n

Then neither needs to feel sore.<\/p>\n

Before it turns negative some more.<\/p>\n

Not discussing it is what I abhor.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Friends ask me where you\u2019ve gone?<\/p>\n

They never ask why it took so long.<\/p>\n

They\u00a0 don\u2019t know what went wrong.<\/p>\n

They know I\u2019m singing a different song.<\/p>\n

Ever since they know you\u2019ve been gone.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Where is it that you needed to go?<\/p>\n

Just away from me is all I know.<\/p>\n

It could have been a different show.<\/p>\n

We needed to take it really slow.<\/p>\n

Then, at least, we both would know.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I\u2019m cashing in on promises of yours.<\/p>\n

Driving by is one of my daily chores.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve found mine. Have you found yours?<\/p>\n

If you have you\u2019ll be home, of course.<\/p>\n

Then we\u2019ll become a mighty force.<\/p>\n

The two of us will become as one.<\/p>\n

Sharing our love under the sun.<\/p>\n

Blending together like coke and rum.<\/p>\n

No more negatives will ever come.<\/p>\n
