Holiday Inspiration<\/p>\n
The homeless man was found under the bridge.
\nHe was frozen, arms around what was his.
\nHe was holding a note. What would it say?
\nIt said: I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving Day.<\/p>\n
What would bring a man to write this?
\nHe froze to death. Thanksgiving, he did miss.
\nYet,—– he wished the best for others.
\nIt must have been the training of his mother.<\/p>\n
After learning his name, I checked on his past.
\nHis life of sacrifice was now in the trash.
\nIt seems his entire life was helping others.
\nHe helped all the children and their mothers.<\/p>\n
He volunteered to help in every way.
\nIn every circumstance almost every day.
\nYet, he ended up homeless and alone.
\nThrough his last message his kindness shown.<\/p>\n
This man was a saint in every way.
\nWhen asked about it, what did he say?
\n\u201cIt is always better to give than to receive.\u201d
\n\u201cI only wish I could fill everyone\u2019s need.\u201d<\/p>\n
For such a man there\u2019s a place in heaven.
\nWhen he arrives the Lord will say \u201cKevin.\u201d
\n\u201cYou are an example of all I am.\u201d
\n\u201cYou are an example to every man.\u201d<\/p>\n
But, here on earth, he froze to death.
\nNo roof for his head. He had nothing left.
\nHis story made front page news.
\nHe was finally given his dues.<\/p>\n
Let his life be an example to all men.
\nAs the Thanksgiving festivities grow dim.
\nLet\u2019s all be more giving this holiday season.
\nJust love one another, if no other reason.<\/p>\n
