Remember the story of Stagger Lee?
\nBilly shot that boy oh so bad.
\nWell, Stagger Lee did live, you see.
\nSo be happy. No longer be sad.
\nBilly was arrested for attempted murder.
\nLee recovered from a shoulder wound.
\nLee\u2019s friends Decided to help him further.
\nPut it on the internet, help came soon.
\nEnough money to pay Lee\u2019s bill.
\nPlus enough to get his sick wife well.
\nLee was offered a job at the mill.
\nA better job than bartending hell.
\nThat\u2019s what he called his old job.
\nThe wife and kids are doing great.
\nA happy ending here is not odd.
\nLee\u2019s new job was a piece of cake.
\nBilly won\u2019t see the light of day.
\nThe kids are doing great in school.
\nLee ran for mayor. It was a run away.
\nHis \u2018no violence\u2019 stand was real cool.
\nThings couldn\u2019t be better for them.
\nSince he took that bullet from Billy.
\nNot the best way to improve. Amen.
\nBut, it worked for him & his wife, Lilly.<\/p>\n
