It is raining all around.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It really makes a pretty sound.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It hasn\u2019t rained in a long time.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

3 years of drought isn\u2019t kind.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Things have gotten pretty dry.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Forrest fires have gone awry.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I decided to take a walk.<\/p>\n

A walk in the rain. Time for thought.<\/p>\n

There must be something we can do.<\/p>\n

As a human race to defeat the flu.<\/p>\n

Ebola is spreading by leaps and bounds.<\/p>\n

No solution seems to be found.<\/p>\n

Crime and violence is on the raise.<\/p>\n

Financial institutions surmise<\/p>\n

that a financial crash may happen.<\/p>\n

What will that do to our faction?<\/p>\n

Things will go to hell in a hand basket.<\/p>\n

Robbery will become a daily habit.<\/p>\n

Enough about depressing thoughts.<\/p>\n

I look at the present I had bought.<\/p>\n

A surprise for my wife\u2019s soon birthday.<\/p>\n

She celebrates it more than Earth Day.<\/p>\n

We have a lot of happy things planned.<\/p>\n

Yes, troubling things are at hand.<\/p>\n

But, with the ones we love near,<\/p>\n

one thing stands out very clear.<\/p>\n

Praise the Lord for the rain for the parched land.<\/p>\n

And praise the Lord for the loved ones at hand.<\/p>\n

They can make a depressing day happy.<\/p>\n

I love it when my kids call me Pappy.<\/p>\n
