Grief—-God Is The Answer<\/p>\n
Like tears of glass, tinkling when they land,
\nthese tears of grief are not so grand.
\nThe pain that is left in my heart
\nIs worse than the pain of being apart.
\nKnowing I will never be with you again.
\nOne is the loneliest #. How to begin?
\nTo start over is a mountain too high.
\nAll it does is make me want to cry.
\nI have to dream the impossible dream.
\nBut, I only dream of you,—– it seems.
\nThey say time heals all wounds.
\nHave they ever lost someone too soon?
\nAll our future plans & dreams are gone.
\nTaken away with the morning dawn.
\nTaken when the angels came for you.
\nNow,—– whatever will I do?
\nAll the songs of sorrow and loss
\ncome slaming home. The feeling not lost.
\nDeath leaves you nowhere to turn.
\nTake it to heart. Live and learn.
\nFaith in religious beliefs is the only hope.
\nWithout it, I might as well cut my throat.
\nI know you are in a better place now.
\nNo more suffering & pain creasing your brow.
\nI am hurting, but I will give it to the Lord.
\nNo way am I joining the angry hoard.
\nThose who think all they have is here & now.
\nThey might as well worship the golden cow.
\nThere is no \u2018real\u2019 love found in that belief.
\nBut, in the love of God I find relief.
\nI will keep the faith & be with you again.
\nMy sweetheart, my lover, my friend.<\/p>\n
