To the man who lost his mind.<\/p>\n

Left his home for the last time.<\/p>\n

They found him in the wintertime.<\/p>\n

Looking for something he couldn\u2019t find.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

They shipped him way out West.<\/p>\n

The distance put their minds at rest.<\/p>\n

Napa State Hospital did their best.<\/p>\n

Such a warm and cozy nest.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Back home they threw the key away.<\/p>\n

For them, there was nothing left to say.<\/p>\n

Thing is, he did get better one day.<\/p>\n

Then he went back home to stay.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Then, there was the girl next door.<\/p>\n

The one that he was searching for.<\/p>\n

He loved her to his very core.<\/p>\n

He wanted to get to know her more.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But, when he tries she starts to cry.<\/p>\n

She locks the door & hopes to die.<\/p>\n

Makes him wonder if he should even try.<\/p>\n

Finally, he gives up with just a sigh.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

His reputation follows him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is nuts\u201d, he hears again & again.<\/p>\n

Everyone\u2019s fear comes from within.<\/p>\n

They worry he may flip out again.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There is no life here for him anymore.<\/p>\n

He has to forget about the girl next door.<\/p>\n

His life is becoming such a bore.<\/p>\n

He just can\u2019t take it anymore.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There he sits in a caf\u00e9 in a new town.<\/p>\n

There is no one else around.<\/p>\n

He thinks back; his face makes a frown.<\/p>\n

I guess there is no where he is bound.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A girl comes in & \u00a0takes a close seat.<\/p>\n

She looks lonely and really beat.<\/p>\n

They talk & she asks \u201cWill you go with me?\u201d<\/p>\n

He says \u201cAnywhere is a better place to be.\u201d<\/p>\n
