The Best Laid Plans Danced Away<\/p>\n
The time was approaching for the weekly dance.
\nI had a date.—– I finally took a chance.
\nSoon, we were there, out on the floor.
\nWe had the moves. Everyone yelling for more.
\nMoving in & moving out. Dancing toe to toe.
\nWhile everyone around was yelling \u2018Go man go!!\u2019.
\nThe sweat was popping out of my head.
\nMy feet were getting tired, feeling like lead.
\nFinally, we had the chance to dance slowly.
\nShe snuggled right up to me, fully.
\nAfter a couple slow ones, it got fast again.
\nI would show her she was more than a friend.
\nI started with the \u2018Dirty Dancing\u2019 grind.
\nShe was moving well. She didn\u2019t seem to mind.
\nBelly to belly. Belly to back.
\nBetter than making love in a Cadillac.
\nEveryone stopped just to watch us go.
\nIt seems we were really stealing the show.
\nI said \u201cIt\u2019s hot in here. Let\u2019s go outside.\u201d
\nShe said \u201cKeep on dancing. Right by my side.\u201d
\nI said \u201cLet\u2019s stop and get a drink.\u201d
\nShe said \u201cDrink, drink, drink, oh fiddly dink.\u201d
\n\u201cI can dance with a drink in my hand.\u201d
\nShe didn\u2019t want to stop. Neither did the band.
\nSeems I started something I can\u2019t stop.
\nI felt like stopping, right on the spot.
\nBut, this girl was \u2018hot\u2019, in more ways than one.
\nLater, I wanted to have another type of fun.
\nI thought, maybe, I could fake a fall.
\nA \u2018sprained ankle\u2019 would end it all.
\nThen, I figured she would find another.
\nNope, I had to keep on dancing. Help me mother.
\nWe danced till I thought I couldn\u2019t dance no more.
\nFinally, the time came to go out the door.
\nIt turned out she was too tired for anything but bed.
\nSo was I when all was done and said.<\/p>\n
