Early one morning I awoke from sleep.<\/p>\n

I had the urge to take a leek.<\/p>\n

I dragged out of bed for a bathroom break.<\/p>\n

I still was not fully awake.<\/p>\n

I was still in a sleepy mood.<\/p>\n

But, I felt like I needed some food.<\/p>\n

I went to the kitchen to get a bite.<\/p>\n

I found some cereal that I like.<\/p>\n

The kitchen floor on my feet felt cool.<\/p>\n

I still hadn\u2019t put on socks or shoes.<\/p>\n

As I sat at the table starting to eat,<\/p>\n

I felt something against my feet.<\/p>\n

It felt like whiskers, was my guess.<\/p>\n

Probably Squally wanting food, no less.<\/p>\n

Then I felt something cold and wet.<\/p>\n

It was rubbing against my feet yet.<\/p>\n

It was probably Squally so I looked down.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t a fat cat that I found.<\/p>\n

At my feet was a large rat.<\/p>\n

I jumped & spilled cereal in my lap.<\/p>\n

The rat was gone in nothing flat.<\/p>\n

\u201cSqually!!\u201d, where is that fat cat?<\/p>\n

I went looking to see where he was at.<\/p>\n

He was in the living room asleep in a chair.<\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t even know the rat was there.<\/p>\n

I let Squally smell my feet.<\/p>\n

Hoping he would smell the rat & get to his feet.<\/p>\n

He took a sniff of my foot.<\/p>\n

Then gave me a dirty look.<\/p>\n

Then turned over & went back to sleep.<\/p>\n

He could care less about my feet.<\/p>\n

Does this happen every time?<\/p>\n
