Long ago, when I was a kid.
\nI use to explore all around.
\nA country boy, I often hid.
\nIt was hard for me to be found.<\/p>\n
We played hide and seek.
\nOne of our primary things.
\nI would hide by the creek.
\nI disappeared, like I had wings.<\/p>\n
Others would search for hours.
\nThey never found me at all.
\nI climbed up in the bowers.
\nThen I prayed I wouldn\u2019t fall.<\/p>\n
They never looked up for me.
\nThey looked on the ground.
\nIf they looked up, they would see.
\nThen I would finally be found.<\/p>\n
That never happened, even once.
\nIt is like a lot of people today.
\nThey go around, like in a funk.
\nNever looking up so they could say.<\/p>\n
\u201cEureka!!,—– I have found it.\u201d
\nThey would realize where we are.
\nThey would start using their wit.
\nChanging things, making it better by far.<\/p>\n
\u201cLook up, for your redemption draweth neigh.\u201d
\nDoes it sound familiar to you?
\nMore truth in this than meets the eye.
\nTime to look up. Don\u2019t be a fool.<\/p>\n
Wake up and smell the roses.
\nYour world is disintegrating around you.
\nDo you have to be beat with rubber hoses?
\nWake up, there is so much you can do.<\/p>\n
Things could improve in every way.
\nIf people would just look up and see.
\nIf they would listen to what I say.
\nThings could be better for you and me.<\/p>\n
Stop, look, and listen to it all.
\nThere is still a little time.
\nDon\u2019t wait till after the fall.
\nThen think you have lost your mind.<\/p>\n
There is a way, but we must all act.
\nThe ostrich syndrome won\u2019t work .
\nWe must come together, it\u2019s a fact.
\nBe assertive, just like Captain Kirk.<\/p>\n
