The desolation was unbelievable.<\/p>\n

To look at a city hit by a \u00a0nuclear bomb.<\/p>\n

Anything left standing was inconceivable.<\/p>\n

Total annihilation before the calm.<\/p>\n

Anything of value was unretrievable.<\/p>\n

A coating of gray covered it all.<\/p>\n

Death in the ultimate sense.<\/p>\n

One of the most horrible things I saw<\/p>\n

were human bones tangled in a fence.<\/p>\n

Nothing moved. The dust slightly stirred.<\/p>\n

Tossed about by the dry endless wind.<\/p>\n

Then I swore there was moaning I heard.<\/p>\n

Cries of the dead from this unspeakable sin.<\/p>\n

Time has passed but, almost no change here.<\/p>\n

A scar on the earth, a reminder for man.<\/p>\n

This is something to always fear.<\/p>\n

Never do this again to the land.<\/p>\n

How did it ever happen before?<\/p>\n

How could one country think that way?<\/p>\n

Did they run in when Satan opened the door?<\/p>\n

There is no justification that they could say.<\/p>\n

Man is a slow learner in the school of hard knocks.<\/p>\n

History should teach him to change his ways.<\/p>\n

Instead they try to bluff, bully, \u00a0and out fox<\/p>\n

their so called \u2018enemy\u2019 in every way.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t want to see the day when it happens again.<\/p>\n

Next time on a world wide scale, I say.<\/p>\n

That will \u00a0be the end of man\u2019s peaceful pretend.<\/p>\n

Man will be a figment of the imagination<\/p>\n

to those who look upon the ruined earth.<\/p>\n

They will wonder with fascination.<\/p>\n

If a race does this what were they really worth?<\/p>\n
