I have this feeling that this is wrong.
\nLong, I\u2019ve waited for you to come along.
\nWhen you arrived I was filled with delight.
\nI said \u201cThank you God\u201d, with all my might.<\/p>\n
Yet, there\u2019s something I have to know?
\nI am not sure where this is going to go.
\nTrue, I prayed for an answer to my dreams.
\nYou appeared to be the one, or so it seemed.<\/p>\n
Still, certain things don\u2019t seem to be just right.
\nMany times you seemed to be ready to fight.
\nYour defenses were set on high most of the time.
\nNo need for that if you are really mine.<\/p>\n
You came with scars and baggage too.
\nThere was a lot that you\u2019ve been through.
\nSo much so it predicts how you are.
\nYou are reacting to the emotional scars.<\/p>\n
It is a new game now. Things have changed.
\n\u201cDifferent place, different time,\u201d I explain.
\nDon\u2019t let your past rule your feelings for me.
\nWe have a totally new thing going, you see.<\/p>\n
We should set our own path now.
\nTogether we can do it somehow.
\nThe two of us can be as one.
\nThe trip will be, oh so fun.<\/p>\n
Then my dreams & prayers can come true.
\nNot only for me, but also for you.
\nForget the past. This won\u2019t be the same.
\nThere is nothing to lose & so much to gain.<\/p>\n
