Running Scared<\/p>\n
It is a big world out there.
\nAre they coming for me?
\nThey will look everywhere.
\nI must hide to remain free.<\/p>\n
Some say it is in my head.
\nNo one is coming for me.
\nI would rather run instead.
\nThis is how it\u2019s got to be.<\/p>\n
They have tried before.
\nI had barely gotten away.
\nThey busted in the door.
\nThey weren\u2019t there to play.<\/p>\n
I managed to slip through a crack.
\nThey were searching high & low.
\nThe strain almost broke my back.
\nThis part they will never know.<\/p>\n
What I know, they want to hush.
\nThough I have never told a sole.
\nThey just keep coming in a rush.
\nThey are afraid of what I know.<\/p>\n
I never stay in one place long.
\nI know they will never stop.
\nSo, I just keep moving along.
\nTrust no one. Not even a cop.<\/p>\n
This can get old very fast.
\nI feel like \u201cThe Fugitive.\u201d
\nHiding, to save my ass.
\nYou never know who it is.<\/p>\n
Perhaps I can use what I know.
\nUse it to save my life somehow.
\nIf only I knew which way to go.
\nI need a friend with me now.<\/p>\n
I have recorded it all today.
\nIf they get me, others will know.
\nI have carefully hidden it away.
\nUpon my death, others will go.<\/p>\n
They will know where to look.
\nThey will hear the whole story.
\nMaybe one will write a book.
\nTelling all, no matter how gory.<\/p>\n
Bring them all to their knees.
\nSomething I can\u2019t do on my own.
\nI can\u2019t see the forest for the trees.
\nOthers can do it, once shown.<\/p>\n
There is little hope for me.
\nI realize that fact now.
\nBut, others will be able to see.
\nThen, put an end to it, somehow.<\/p>\n
