I saw her walking down the street the first time.
\nI knew I would do all I could to make her mine.
\nI found a clever way to get her name.
\nI knew my life wasn\u2019t going to be the same.
\nAnd it seemed like a good idea at the time.<\/p>\n
My only thought was that she was looking fine.
\nI started thinking a little further down the line.
\nMy next move was all planned out.
\nSoon, she would see what I was all about.
\nAnd it seemed like a good idea at the time.<\/p>\n
Soon, I had a date with her. We would dine.
\nI wasn\u2019t late. I was right on time.
\nThings went better than expected.
\nI knew I would never let her feel neglected.
\nAnd it seemed like a good idea at the time.<\/p>\n
A second date to see a movie seemed just fine.
\nThings were falling together right in line.
\nMy plan to make her mine was possible now.
\nI was sure it would all work out somehow.

Things worked out. She became mine.
\nWe were now one throughout time.
\nRight up until she left me for another.
\nI should have listened to my mother.
