I came into town after traveling far.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Thought I would stop at the local bar.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Get a little drink to quench my thirst.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

After hours on the road, it was the worst.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I stepped in and looked around.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I was surprised at what I found.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A normal crowd for a Saturday night.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

But, that wasn\u2019t what gave me a fright.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They were all dressed up like ghosts.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Also skeletons and scary hosts.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A witch said it was for Halloween.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It all just seemed like a dream.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I ordered a drink & got a glass of blood.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I was shocked so he put it in a mug.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is this? I asked the keeper.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cA free drink\u201d said another creature.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I asked \u201cIs it a Bloody Mary?\u201d <\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cNo, this drink has a cherry.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWe call it a Bloody Virgin.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I tasted it, with some urging.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Then, some weird howling started.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Sounded like someone departed.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cFull moon. Werewolves are out.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Then, outside, we heard a shout.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Then, a scream, like someone torn apart.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t go outside, if you are smart.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I thought it was a joke, but maybe not.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I was shaking, yet, glued to the spot.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat kind of a place is this? I asked.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re in a ghost town.\u201d Was gasped.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cReal ghosts, ghouls, and other things.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWe come here on every Halloween\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

My hand passed right through the ghost.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The ghoul was eating a human roast.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

My feet were spinning , but I wasn\u2019t moving.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cStay around, it\u2019s just getting groovy.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cLet me out of here\u201d, I screamed.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It was real,—– or so it seemed<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They grabbed me and pulled me down.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I was sorry I stopped at this town.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I passed out. I thought I would be killed.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I woke up at dawn in a field.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I was at the outskirts of town.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A sign stated it was a ghost town.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

My vehicle was parked nearby.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I got in and started to cry.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I wasn\u2019t about to go back into town.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

As quick as I could, I turned around.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I still don\u2019t know if It happened or not.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

People around let that town go to rot.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They told stories similar to mine.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Find some other way to spend my time.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Stay away from that ghost town.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

You\u2019d be better to drive around.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

People have gone there & didn\u2019t return.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

You would think that people would learn.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I, for one, learned all I needed to know.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t want to go back to that show.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I left that place far behind me that day.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

On Halloween\u2019s I find other places to play.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
