When I think of the emotions wasted on you,<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It burns me out. Through and through.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I showered you with all my affection.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

All I ever got was just rejection.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Makes me wonder if others would?<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I feel\u00a0ousted out, like rotten wood.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Then, I met her briefly, and I was hooked.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I saw her by a bubbling brook.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It was a beautiful day in the park.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

When I talked with her I felt a spark.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A small fire starting in my heart.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Desire, but not knowing where to start.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I have to quit writing these poems.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Get dressed and grab some coins.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Find her again and let the fire grow.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Then, I think about why I was feeling low.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know if I could take more rejection.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It would be harder than losing an election.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

But, I will never know if I don\u2019t try.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I strap down my heart and prepare to die.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I may be headed for another crash landing.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I know a relationship takes understanding.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

When I was with her we seemed to click.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Maybe getting to know her is the trick.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

If she likes poetry, I will write her one.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Make it a happy one, just for fun.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

There will be a method to my madness.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

In the end, I pray for gladness.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I have nowhere to go, but up.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I just need to make sure I don\u2019t get in a rut.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
