Out here the wind always blows.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

That just seems to be how it goes.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A windmill makes my electricity.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I had it built for that explicitly. <\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Tumble weeds went tumbling by.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

There was not a cloud in the sky.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Daydreaming was my pastime.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

No motivation. It\u2019s not a crime.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A windmill pumped my water.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Worked as faithful as my daughter.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Just her and I live out here, you see.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

For her mother passed away on me.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Not a lot to do. No phone to talk through.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

TV is mostly hit and miss.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The internet doesn\u2019t exist.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

We both do a lot of reading.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Occasionally, we will do some weeding.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The garden does well, if watered right.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The stars are really bright at night.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

We will pan for gold, if in the mood.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Mainly, we are concerned with food.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It is a life not meant for all.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

My daughter has been here since real small.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

She was taught here at home.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Smart as a whip. Tough as bone.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

One day a young man stopped by.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

He was polite and acted shy.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

He had plans to start a wind farm.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Lots of windmills with lots of arms.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Generate power for the city far away.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Said it would pay off big someday.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

In the end we cut a deal.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

We would be partners on this field.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

He was right. We made a lot of money.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

He married my daughter & called her honey.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

As for me, I\u2019m still here.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I kick back with a cold beer.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Watch TV, thanks to a satellite dish.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I still read whenever I wish.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

But, most of all, I like to daydream.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Listen to the wind and scheme.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I could do more with my life, but I felt.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Ya can\u2019t please everyone so ya got to please yourself.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
