When I awoke, I couldn\u2019t move.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A paralysis I couldn\u2019t disprove.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Though I strained with all my might,<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I was held down very tight.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I remembered the magician\u2019s war.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

We fought for our lives, and more.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Due to fatigue, I wasn\u2019t doing well.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I was knocked unconscious by a spell.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I looked around. I was in a room.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The light was poor, almost a gloom.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I was captured and here I was sent.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I feared what that ending meant.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I tried with all my will to make a fist.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Very slowly, I succeeded at this.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I dug deep and put more into my effort.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I broke out of the spell. A mighty effort.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I sat up and looked around.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

My wand was nearby, I found.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

With effort, I was able to get to it.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Good thing I was physically fit.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The door flew open with a rush.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A magician ran in and he was flushed.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cNo one has ever broken that spell before.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cA first for everything,\u201d out the door<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I went with magically enhanced speed.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t say goodbye. There was no need.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I surprised them and fought my way out.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I knew exactly what magic was about.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I got my bearings and zapped myself home.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The war still raged, but I wasn\u2019t alone.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Many of us had gathered there.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

We knew we needed safety somewhere.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

We had a plan that was a great risk.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Our best minds had come up with this.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

We made a pledge and raised a fist.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They had already made a list.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

We would pass through 7 parallel universes.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Altering each with many traps and curses.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

For any, magic or not, to make it through<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

would be impossible for them to do.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The 8<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> universe would be ours.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

We would be safe. Bless the stars.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It was dangerous to be sure.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It could fail, but we did concur.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

We would leave as soon as possible.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The secret of this would be our gospel.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Each world was laden with beasts of all types.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Created with magic with all its hypes.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Terrible weather on different worlds.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Unimaginable hardships, we did herald.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It was mind boggling, to say the least.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

We felt safe when done and had a feast.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The evil magicians never knew where we went.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Their every effort to find us was spent.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

We were safe for over 800 years.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

What happened then is another story, I fear.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
