Anika waved her wand in the middle of a field.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Suddenly, an open portal, this action did yield.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The panthers, eagle, and herself stepped through.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The portal closed immediately, without a clue.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It was night in the First Level Of Hell.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They heard something give out a yell.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They took off running using light from her wand.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Something was behind them, really coming on.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They headed for a large rock outcropping.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They kept on running without stopping.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Found an overhang and ducked way back inside.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A huge critter slid to a stop outside.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Like a kangaroo, but on all fours.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A horn and nasty fangs to rip and gore.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Too big to squeeze in to where they were.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It tried to widen the entrance, for sure.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Anika pointed her wand. \u201cIncinerator\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Flame and smoke snuffed the annihilator.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Only ashes left, which the panthers sniffed.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They snorted and each left on it a piss.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They decided to stay there for the night.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They would be safe till the morning light.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Her wand would guide her in the direction <\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

of the right exit portal without exception.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Morning came and they looked around.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Of course, there was no village or town.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

There was sparsely wooded rolling hills.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Sunny, with a slight breeze that left a chill.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A light breakfast of hardtack and cheese.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Then, off to see what they could see.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A panther went wide to each side.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The eagle flew over and ahead for the ride.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

All were telepathically talking with her.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

This way, she was aware of \u00a0where they were.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

She told them which way the wand indicated.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Traveling was rough. Definitely overrated.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

She could fly, if needed. But she didn\u2019t.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The panthers couldn\u2019t. So, not efficient.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Soon they saw a heard of buffalo??<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Similar, but—- not exactly so.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

These beasts could breathe fire.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They all moved together, with one desire.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Once the beasts caught their scent,<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

then, that would be all she rent.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They all looked up in their direction.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Too many to form a shield protection.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Then, the eagle spotted a cliff.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Told her where. Then they split.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They ran like hell toward the cliff.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Once there, each panther went up a tree.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

She yelled, and the beasts looked to see.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They charged her in a maddened rush.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

She waited for their intended crush.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

At the last second, she shot into the air.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The beasts flew off the cliff everywhere.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They went crashing way below.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Onto a bunch of rocks. A deadly blow.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The four gathered together above.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

She hugged the panthers with maternal love.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Then, they went on their way.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

At least they were alive to fight another day.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The panthers ripped apart a \u00a0critter.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A rabbit sized, vicious, beast with a litter.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They were killed so fast, they couldn\u2019t squeal.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

That made their evening meal.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They found tall trees in which to spend the night.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They felt they would be safe there without a fight.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

So ended their first day in the First Level Of Hell.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They were close to the exit gate, Anika could tell. <\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

But, that\u2019s a story for another day.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

She prayed they would be safe along the way.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
