The Magician\u2019s War (Chapter Five)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They woke up feeling a little woozy.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They were bound in a web that was gooey.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Anika grabbed her wand and said \u201cAshe.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The web became ash and they fell to the grass.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The breath was knocked out of her.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

A giant spider was dropping like a blur.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Her mind turned her wand to a lance,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

before the spider put her in a trance.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The spider impaled itself on the lance.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

She said \u2018Deflecto\u201d, when she had the chance.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The spider exploded, flinging goo and venom.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They were protected, all deflected from them.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They took off running like hell.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Soon, a huge beast, lions head, and cheetah <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

hindquarters was closing in. He would eat, yeah.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Anika pointed her wand. Then she could see<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

a portal opening in a stand of trees.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They all dove through at the same time.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The portal slammed closed, right behind.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The beast slammed into a big tree.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The force that he hit threw him back, you see.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s scull was crushed. Dead. That was plain.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It was not feeling any pain.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Anika and the panthers fell into a lake.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Would a watery grave be their fate?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They started swimming for shore.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

A sea serpent surfaced, wanting more.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Anika pointed her wand and said \u201cRepeller.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

A huge wave of water rose and repelled <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

the beat, leaving a waterless path to shore.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They ran to the beach, wet, and a little sore.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

So began their first day in The Second Level Of Hell.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

What else would happen, right now, I can\u2019t tell.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
