Time to sit down and just relax.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The recliner is where it\u2019s at.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I kick back and give a sigh.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Raise up the feet on the first try.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I\u2019m getting comfy, looking around.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I see the picture that I\u2019d found.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A picture of a sailing ship.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Framed and looking real fit.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I had hung it on the wall.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It looked pretty good after all.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I had found it in an old trunk.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

In the basement, under junk.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Got it when I bought this mansion.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Bought as is; maybe I can win.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Suddenly, the ship began to move.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Then, it grew larger, I behoove.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It encompassed me totally.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I was on board. Somebody hold me.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The ship was rocking on the waves.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Salty spray hitting on my face.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Sailors saw me and gave a shout.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cStow away\u201d \u201cWhat\u2019s he about?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I couldn\u2019t make myself clear.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t know how I got here.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They were thinking I was crazy.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThrow him in the hold, ya laze\u2019s!\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The Captain gave the order.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They took me to the hold in quick order.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The Captain came to talk to me.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhy are you on my ship?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t give him any lip.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I told him all that I know.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Told him I had nowhere to go.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cYou expect me to believe that crap?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cYou think I\u2019m a stupid cargo rat?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I said \u201cNo. But, the story is true.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not trying to make a fool of you.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat year is it where you came from?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201c2017, May is about to come.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat!!—– It is 1781.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat the hell??,\u201d I yelled.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cHave I died and gone to hell??\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cYou may wish it, from what I can tell.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is your name, landlubber?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI am Tracy Lovermold, Gov\u2019ner.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cCaptain to you. That\u2019s a weird name.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cSo I have been told. Drives me insane.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cCall me Captain Crutch.\u201d <\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

He said as much.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cAnother weird name, I believe.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI use a crutch. I won\u2019t deceive.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The Captain showed him his wooden leg.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat kind of ship is this keg?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cA merchant ship. We sail for Spain.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cTell me. What is the ship\u2019s name?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cS. S. Scuttle is her name and fame.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWe bring a load of gold back to the queen.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhere are we now? Caribbean, it seems.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cOff the coast of America, headed home.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cAny pirates in this area?\u201d I said.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhy are you mentioning pirates? You\u2019re dead!!\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cNo, no. I only mentioned it because of history.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat about history? Talk, or you\u2019re history.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cMany ships with gold sank or were scuttled by pirates.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is in history books.—– I\u2019ll be quiet.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat you say is true.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s why I tend to maybe trust you.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cAlso, you\u2019re clothes are very strange.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201c Maybe you tell the truth, or I\u2019m insane.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cIf on this ship, you\u2019ll have to work.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat was your trade in this quirk?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI was an engineer.\u201d I said.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat the hell is that?\u201d he led.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI make things, most not invented yet.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cEducated eh? I have a job for you set.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cMy first mate died in route.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is tough without him about.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cYou will do his job. Keep up the log.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cDo good and I won\u2019t feed you to the hogs.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cSleep here tonight. First mates bunk \u00a0a mess.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI will get it cleaned, then you\u2019re all set.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I went to sleep on some sacks of oats.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Rocked to sleep by the rocking of the boat.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I woke up with a start, scaring the cat.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I was back in my recliner. How about that??<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Was this all a dream?<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The ship\u2019s picture was on the wall, it seemed.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

What the hell just happened to me?<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

My clothes were damp and smelled like the sea.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I had a few oats on my clothes.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

What happened here, nobody will know.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
