The next day, I really dug in.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Black Beard was where to begin.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It seems he killed all on board.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

All the gold increased his hoard.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

For some reason, he headed north.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

But, where to?, was my retort.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Many say he went to Oak Island.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Formally Smith\u2019s Island, <\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

also Gloucester Isle for awhile.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

But why there? It made me smile.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

All wild tales, nothing but myth.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Many others lay claim to The Money Pit.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Why the connection with Oak Island<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

And Black Beard? I felt like crying.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

No one can prove if there\u2019s a treasure.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Its been put to every measure. <\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It even spawned a TV series.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It is enough to make me weary.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

That evening, while in the recliner,<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I started thinking, I had a reminder.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

This all tied together somehow.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The question is: What do I do now?<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Then, the ship started moving again.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It grew bigger and I was sucked in.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Black Beard and his men had captured the crew.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Suddenly, I knew what I had to do.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I yelled \u201cBlack Beard, don\u2019t kill them.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI have a way we can all win.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Black Beard pulled me aside.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat cha mean, or I bust yer hide.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I told him I was an engineer.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I built things. I made that very clear.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I said for him to give me one day.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI will draw up plans\u201d I say.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cMake your treasure safe forever.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

He saw that I was very clever.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat do you want for doing this?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cOnly the lives of this crew. I insist.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThey will all be needed for the work.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

He gave me a day and I started to work.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I laid out The Money Pit on Oak Island.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I worked hard. \u201cI can picture it\u201d, I sighed.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Two ways it will be flooded if ever invaded.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

All the layers of the deep pit. <\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Booby trapped when it fit.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It must go way below sea level.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThis will work. No one will meddle.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Black Beard loved the plans.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWhere will we do this, if you can?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cA place called Oak Island will do.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The pirates sailed to the place with the crew.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Two years of hard work to complete it all.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Black Beard kept his word, after all.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

All were set free with the fear of God installed.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

If anyone talked, they would be keel hauled.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I popped in and out a few times.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Never missed or taken for a crime.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

When done, I popped home for the last time.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

This secret life was only mine.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I kept my word to Black Beard.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I have never said a word.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
