It had been 18 years since Anika and Sirle married.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They still lived on Vantera, the name it carried.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Anika gave birth to a set of male twins the first year.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Named Siran and Ansir, identical, they were.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They were powerful magicians and warriors.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Trained from birth, they excelled for sure.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They were as good, or better, than their parents.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Not taking time to think, being their worst errant.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They would mature and outgrow that.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They would be the greatest. It was a fact.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They knew all the history of Kronos and others.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They wished they could have fought him as brothers.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They could communicate with animals telepathically.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

As well as each other and parents. It was a fact, you see.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They grew up with two black panthers.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Flash and Stealth, big and worse than cancer.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Offspring’s of Eros and Ra, who were old now.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They were also raised with eagles, wow.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They were the four offspring of Pern.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Watching them work made Anika’s heart yearn.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The panthers, twins, and eagles were deadly.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Always alert. Always ready.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Add Anika and Sirle to the group.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They were one deadly fighting troupe.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Sirle found that he was a telepath also.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

At any time they were ready to go.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They had taken the boys to earth.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Showed them around the old hearth.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They had made the trip often.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Showed them where they fought to win.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Even showed them Kronos’s ruined castle.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Such a mess made walking around a hassle. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Kronos had become a legend now.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Almost ancient history somehow.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

But, all of that was about to change.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Soon as Kronos had his plans arranged.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
