<\/p>\n
\u00a0 Kronos Escapes From Hell (Chapter Seven)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n There were a few skirmishes at hand.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Kronos still felt he ruled the land.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Then, Anika made a decision.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n We will send a message out to him.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Tell him we will meet. Where and when.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n “<\/i><\/b>One on one, just the two of us.”\u009d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n “<\/i><\/b>I challenge you to a battle, or bust.”\u009d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n She knew Kronos couldn’t turn it down.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n His arrogance will bring him around.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Anika laid out her plan to all the others.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Many weren’t sure, and had their druthers.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Sirle, Siran, and Ansir were nervous.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n But, they knew Anika’s word, they could trust.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Flash and Stealth were ready to go.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n All four eagles were in the know.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Plans agreed on, they sent the request.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Kronos would get it, they were guessing.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n In two days, just north of the city.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n A broad grassy area. No trees. Not gritty.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Nothing to get in the way.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n No interference during their stay.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The time was twelve noon.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n That way there would be no moon.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Kronos darkened the sky a charcoal grey.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Blocked out the sun in every way.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n He didn’t want Anika to have an advantage.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n He was there and ready.—– Chanting.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Anika took her stance, about 50 feet away.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Someone yelled “Begin,”\u009d and it started that day.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Kronos fired a black\/purple bolt out of his wand.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Anika fired a white\/blue bolt from her wand.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The bolts hit head on, equal power. Bring it on.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The smell of burning electrical smell was strong.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Kronos tried a different spell. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Anika blocked it very well.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Anika tried to knock Kronos over.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n His feet didn’t even slide on the clover.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n On they fought, one spell after another.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Each spell blocked or countered with flutter.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Behind Kronos, Flash and Stealth crept up.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Quieter than a wilting buttercup.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The eagles were circling, watching for another.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Their eagle eyes could see any flutter.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n They were super sensitive to magic when used.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n If\u00a0 ‘The Shadow’ appeared, they’d make it news.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Kronos used Worlock fire of his own.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Anika cancelled it with a lot of foam.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Kronos cast a black webbed net.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Anika rolled away and won the bet.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n ‘<\/i><\/b>The Shadow’ appeared a distance behind Anika.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The eagles were on him immediately. Eureka!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n For protection he had to erect a shield.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n He couldn’t use magic then. It wouldn’t yield.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n ‘<\/i><\/b>The Shadow’ saw the panthers getting close.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Shield down, he zapped away, like a ghost.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The eagles could follow his magical trail.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n He appeared in the air behind the panthers tails.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The eagles told the panthers ‘roll to the side.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Their telepathic message saved their lives.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n A red bolt of power split the ground.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n But, the panthers were nowhere around.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The eagles were all over ‘The Shadow’ again.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n He zapped far away in the end.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Anika was finally beginning to tire.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Knonos had passed his limit, but he had fire.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n His hatred and arrogance pushed him on.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Anika’s wand was the lance. To it, she was bond.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n She thought to use it when she heard a voice.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Anethea said ‘Don’t use the lance.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n ‘<\/i><\/b>If you do, you won’t have a chance.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n ‘<\/i><\/b>That was how Kronos beat me before.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n ‘<\/i><\/b>He can somehow reverse it. You’ll be no more.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Anika had heard the voice through the bond.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n She didn’t know how much longer she could carry on.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Things were starting to look pretty dim.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Stay tuned and we will find out who will win.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n —————————————————–R.W.
