Reign Of ‘The Shadow’ (Chapter Two)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

At Kronos urging, ‘The Shadow’ stepped through.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Immediate darkness surrounded the two.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Also an incredible increase in his weight.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

He wanted out before it was too late.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>What sort of spell is this?’ Kronos said.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>I feel like my thoughts are made of lead.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>Gravity has been doubled somehow.’\u009d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>But how?, this seems impossible, even now.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

“<\/i><\/b>It’s not a spell. It could only be a different planet.”\u009d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

This threw Kronos for a loop, ‘They planned it.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>I can still detect Anika——and also Anathea.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>Anathea?—-She must have designed it. Anathea.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

“<\/i><\/b>I think I just heard a sound.”\u009d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

“<\/i><\/b>It didn’t sound friendly. Where are we bound?”\u009d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Kronos directed the direction to follow.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>The Shadow’ flowed along the hollow.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Up a steep and long hill. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Through trees, along a cliff, until—.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

“<\/i><\/b>What the hell is that thing?”\u009d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>A giant. He can smell you’re\u00a0 bling.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The giant was ripping up trees.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Tossing them aside like throwing peas.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>Another gate is close. Activate it.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Shadow did and he dove through it.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

As always, the gate slammed closed right after.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It was raining like hell where they were.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>The Shadow’ was easier to see. Like a blur.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Lightning and thunder was all around.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

But, he was normal weight, he found.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

“<\/i><\/b>Has the rain blotted out their magical trail?”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>No, I can still pick it up. I hope it doesn’t hail.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

On Vantera, the Head Seer was agitated.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Someone, or something had gates activated.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They were on the second planet, coming this way.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

He notified the Power Of 12 right away.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Anika was called. She thought\u00a0 ‘Impossible.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u02dcKronos is in hell.—– This is colossal.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Nothing had ever breached the gates, except for her.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Whatever it is, it must be stopped for sure.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

At the meeting called, all were there.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

“We must bring extra magic to bare.”\u009d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Anika thought ‘Here we go again.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

“<\/i><\/b>I can zap to any planet, since there I have been.”\u009d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

“<\/i><\/b>I will zap just ahead of them\/it and see.”\u009d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

“<\/i><\/b>Then we will know exactly who it will be.”\u009d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Plans were laid, but what will happen?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
