The Wizard’s Worst Nightmare (Chapter Four)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The battle raged on all around.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Neither side gaining much ground.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Siran and Ansir said “Time to move.”\u009d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

To zap back to their ship and include<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

a more complete report on things.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

See what another visit to the enemy brings.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They zapped back to the ship’s hold.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They projected invisibility, as told.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Then, they explored the ship.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They found ‘The Others’ real quick.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

In the control room they called a bridge.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They were trying to figure out what gives.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They knew nothing about magic,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They couldn’t detect it, which was tragic.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Tragic for them, because it upset their plans.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>We have to capture an adult, if we can.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>Interview them. Do we have a plan?’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>yes, that seems to be the best way.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>I will get to work on it right away.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

That one left the control room.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ansir and Siran followed him soon.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They wrapped him in a magic grid.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Then zapped home with him hid.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They bound him with magical restraints. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They started the interview without complaints.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>The other’ tried to hide his thoughts.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

But, the amulet pulled them out, like blocks.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Soon, they knew all they needed to know.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Maybe now, they might let ‘The Other’ go.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

But first, they made a deal with him.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Another talk would happen with them again.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wizards had to have more information.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

A solution to it all could await them.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They detected a lot of distrust from ‘The Other.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ansir said ‘Maybe you should talk with my mother.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Anika was called. She could bend wills, if needed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

She talked with ‘The Other’ while he pleaded.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

All was carried out telepathically.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>The Other’s’ ability for speech did lack, you see.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Anika used similar magic she had used before.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

When she was ‘The Deceiver’ to her core.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It seemed to work and she convinced ‘The Other.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They spoke the truth. Alternatives? There were no others.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>The Other’ was released to return to his ship.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

He delivered the Wizard’s message quick.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

A meeting was planned for the next day.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wizards were prepared in every way.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Could ‘The Others’ be trusted to behave?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We will find out on the very next day.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
