The Wizard’s Worst Nightmare (Chapter Five)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wizards were in their meeting hall.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It was time for ‘The Others’ to call.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>The Others’ fired on the meeting hall.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Their strongest weapon will kill them all.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The hall was protected by a magical shield.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It glowed brightly, but didn’t yield.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>The Others’ cheered. Were they all dead?.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They came down to investigate instead.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wizard’s dropped the shield.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>The Others’ entered to see what was revealed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The place was vacant? How could that be?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>We saw them all come in here didn’t we?’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wizards had already zapped out.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They were untrustworthy. They had no doubt.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wizards knew when ‘The Others’ fired.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They knew immediately they were liars.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They had ‘The Others’ trapped inside the hall.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They could easily kill them all.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

But, that is not what they had in mind.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They would get what they want, given time.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wizard’s zapped in and raised all shields.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>The Others’ tried to fire their fazers.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They had less effect than a laser.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wizards said ‘We could kill you now.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>But, we want to talk first, somehow.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘We want to know what brought you here?’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>Is there something that you fear?’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>The Others’ decided to play it straight.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Leave it to the Wizards to decide their fate.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They left their world to avoid a Nova.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Their sun was to soon go Nova.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They didn’t know what was causing this.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

But, they could detect signs, against their wish.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Their world was much larger than Vantera.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They needed other worlds near here. Yeah.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Their population had to relocate to live.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Remorse was pouring out like a sieve.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wizards asked for more info on a Nova.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>The Others’ said ‘The sun will grow. Yeah.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘Our<\/i><\/b> home world will perish. It will burn up.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘No way to avoid it, regardless your luck.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘Over time, the sun will shrink to a dwarf star.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘If near, you are dead, wherever you are.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wizards speculated the cause.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The magical teachers said, after a pause.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>It can only be dark and light matter.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>Possibly something else, but we guess the latter.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>Drawn in by their sun, it becomes concentrated.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>It reaches a point where the sun is inundated.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>It is too much of both. The sun then expands.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>The result is death to all who are near.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>They have much that they need to fear.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>Can we do anything to help them out?’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>We possibly can stop it, if things work out.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>How can you stop a Nova from happening?’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>We have abilities that you obviously don’t.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>We can’t explain it, and we won’t.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>Time for you to start displaying some trust.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>If you can’t, then this meeting is a bust.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>If you can, we may save your home world.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘<\/i><\/b>Nothing lost to try.—– Give it a whirl.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Will ‘The Others’ decide to trust the Wizards?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

There are desert worlds with nothing but lizards.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They would be better off on their home world.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Check back and see if they will give it a whirl.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
