Asglow wasn\u2019t told by the demons outright.
\nThey were the ones who gave Kronos might.
\nThe spell to reverse Anika\u2019s spear power.
\nSo, Asglow would not have it for that hour.
\nThe demon\u2019s would not help a human again.
\nEven if they might consider him a friend.
\nAsglow gave up on finding that spell.
\nHe had another idea that should work as well.
\nHe would perfect his time travel technique.
\nThe way it would work would be really neat.
\nIf Anika activated her spear, he would be gone.
\nZap back a few minutes in time, not long.
\nThen, he would get behind her and come back.
\nHe would then disable her. It\u2019s a fact.
\nHe had a lot of work to do to perfect it.
\nKronos was unable to, he reflected.
\nAfter many attempts, he discovered the secret.
\nA balance of additive and subtractive to feed it.
\nBoth were needed to bring it about.
\nKronos didn\u2019t have a clue what that was about.
\nBut, Asglow could use both with equal skill.
\nHe had no problem working his will.
\nHe was jumping back in time just a few minutes.
\nThen, returning shortly, ready to begin it.
\nHe found some instability if he went back further.
\nA jump to the future was worse than murder.
\nHe didn\u2019t try it, he read the warnings.
\nTo jump back longer had the same warnings.
\nJust a few minutes, then, return to the present.
\nIt was all he needed to accomplish all he dreamt.
\nIn the meantime, Anika decided to take a trip.
\nTo see the Lumicates. She was into it.
\nShe visited them every now and then.
\nBecause she considered them real friends.
\nThey told her about Asglow and the amulet.
\nHe wanted to control time. Could he handle it?
\nHis future was like looking at bunch of mirrors.
\nThey had no clue, but they did have their fears.
\nThey had never experienced that before now.
\nTheir fears increased. It just wasn\u2019t right somehow.
\nAnika was real concerned. She knew his history.
\nShe knew Kronos was his father. It was no mystery.
\nShe hoped Asglow wasn\u2019t going to the dark side.
\nShe knew she couldn\u2019t stop him if he tried.
\nShe zapped home and told her family all.
\nAnsir and Siran couldn\u2019t believe Asglow would fall.
\nThey had been close friends all their lives.
\nThey didn\u2019t want to believe any lies.
\nThey didn\u2019t know Kronos was Asglow\u2019s father.
\nWhen told, they became quiet as otters.
\nThey needed to find out what Asglow was up to.
\nHe was gone a lot. Said he had business to attend to.
\nAsglow smoothed over all their fears.
\nHe was smooth talking. Almost brought them to tears.
\nTime went on and things settled down.
\nThey thought he had both feet on the ground.
\nThat would change before too long.
