Any day that starts with an enema can\u2019t be good.<\/p>\n
I took my antibiotic and did my enema, like I should.<\/p>\n
Then, Had my daughter accompany me to the Dr.<\/p>\n
A Urologist , who would complete the shocker.<\/p>\n
A Prostate Biopsy to make sure all is right.<\/p>\n
It could cause nightmares during the night.<\/p>\n
The whole procedure only took about 10 minutes.<\/p>\n
But, it seemed a whole lot longer, once you\u2019re in it.<\/p>\n
\u201cLie on your left side with knees bent.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFirst a digital exam.\u201d In the Doc\u2019s finger went.<\/p>\n
Talk about a \u2018goose\u2019. Quite a jolt it sent.<\/p>\n
Then the camera went where no man has gone.<\/p>\n
It had a BIG end and was mighty long.<\/p>\n
Smarted quite a bit going past the sphincter<\/p>\n
Once in it was tolerable. I hoped he didn\u2019t tinker.<\/p>\n
\u201cNext,\u201d he said, \u201ca shot of Lidocaine \u00a0to numb it\u201d<\/p>\n
I didn\u2019t feel a thing. I hoped he didn\u2019t shun it.<\/p>\n
He took some quick ultra sound pictures.<\/p>\n
\u201cYour prostate is enlarged.\u201d— No shit sir!!<\/p>\n
\u201cNow, we\u2019ll take some samples . 12 in all.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat!! 12!!\u201d—- I felt like climbing the wall.<\/p>\n
There was a loud click as the needle jabbed in.<\/p>\n
I tried to count, but the Doc was talking then.<\/p>\n
They were painful but, tolerable until # 9.<\/p>\n
I gave a jerk like I\u2019d lost my mind. Did that one hurt?\u201d , the Doc asked .<\/p>\n
\u201cIt smarted pretty good,\u201d \u00a0I gasped.<\/p>\n
\u201cHold on. Only 3 more to go,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
I thought he was out of his head.<\/p>\n
The next 3 hurt somewhat less.<\/p>\n
I had made it through.—- What a test!<\/p>\n
I was told I could have blood in urine & stool<\/p>\n
from 1-2 weeks. Now, that\u2019s not very cool.<\/p>\n
Fortunately, it stopped in a day, or two.<\/p>\n
The results of the biopsy would take a week or 2.<\/p>\n
So, be forewarned if this ever happens to you.<\/p>\n
Just relax. It\u2019s all over in 10 minutes. Don\u2019t be blue.<\/p>\n
