It took them some time to reach the top.
\nThey were escorted the last 1\/3rd by Cheops.
\nZeus and family resided there.
\nIt was beautiful everywhere.
\nAfter telling Zeus who they were.
\nAnd telling him why the visit occurred.
\nZeus had this story to tell them.
\nWe were sent here by God. Amen.
\nTo guide these unruly people.
\nThey have made Olympus a steeple.
\nWe are thought of as gods.
\nWe are really not. That is not odd.
\nWe are His humble servants.
\nThe lightning bolt is His invent.
\nIt is more powerful than your lance.
\nI will show you its use, given a chance.
\nStill, it is not the unbound power.
\nIt will save mankind in that hour.
\nThat time is way in the future.
\nExactly what will occur is not too clear.
\nAs for now, we must keep evil under control.
\nThrow this lightning bolt & put on a show.
\nAnika and the rest familiarized themselves.
\nThey became quite proficient, like with spells.
\nZeus showed a lot of interest in the panthers.
\nLike Pegasus, he liked their enhanced purrs.
\nThat is, their telepathic ability.
\nTheir intelligence and agility.
\nHe taught them how to renew their bolts.
\nHow to store them till they needed the bolt.
\nThey thanked him and were ready to leave.
\nWhen they all zapped away, even Zeus believed.
\nBack on Vantera, they practiced some more.
\nThey kept it secret from Wizards by the score.
\nSooner or later, it would be coming down.
\nThey were ready when it came around.
\nMeantime, Egor was almost ready to proceed.
\nThere was just one thing he would still need.
\nA powerful thunder and lightning storm.
\nThen, his creation would, maybe, be born.
\nFinally, on a moonless night.
\nA storm was scheduled that was a fright.
\nOn the roof, with a metal rod to attract.
\nEgor waited. He had all the facts.
\nHe chanted all the proper words.
\nRepeating them, waiting for it to occur.
\nA lightening strike finally hit the metal rod.
\nHe screamed the final word with a nod.
\nA physical shape began to form.
\nThen it solidified. It was born.
\nIt fell to the floor and slowly began to rise.
\n\u201cWho are you?\u201d it said, staring into Egor\u2019s eyes.
\nWas it a success? Could it be?
