Coz and Tom remembered then that they had a date.
\nThey got dressed in a hurry so they wouldn\u2019t be late.
\nThey picked the girls up at Raywin\u2019s house.
\nFor awhile, they all sat there quiet as a mouse.
\nThen they all headed for the movies.
\nA Si Fi picture was on, which would be groovy.
\nIt was called \u201cThe Shape Of Water.\u201d
\nIt was not a movie about an otter.
\nA \u201cCreature From The Black Lagoon\u201d type.
\nDefinitely a reptile, which gave a fright.
\nAfter, Raywin said \u201cReptiles bother me a lot.\u201d
\nTruly said \u201cI agree. I hate them a lot.\u201d
\n\u201cYou\u2019ll find no argument here\u201d said Coz.
\nTom said \u201cI agree. I hate their claws.\u201d
\nThey went for a snack after the movie.
\nA hamburger sounded really groovy.
\nThey went in to a little caf\u00e9.
\nIt was sort of on their way.
\nThey asked to see a menu.
\nThey were almost too shocked to continue.
\nThe special was a reptile burger.
\n\u201cWhat the hell is this?\u201d they murmured.
\n\u201cIt\u2019s just a hamburger with a \u2018fishy\u2019 smell.\u201d
\n\u201cWe started this after the reptile swell.\u201d
\n\u201cAfter that reptile was found frozen.\u201d
\n\u201cThere has been a lot of commotion.\u201d
\n\u201cWe decided to cash in on all of it.\u201d
\n\u201cSo, a reptile burger is now the new grits.\u201d
\n\u201cI\u2019ll have a chicken burger with fries.\u201d
\n\u201cReptiles are not for me. Even disguised.\u201d
\nThe rest agreed. So four chicken burgers it was.
\nWith fries or onion rings and a little love.
\nThings were getting quite romantic with them.
\nThey were sharing fries and kisses with a grin.
\nAfter a few more dates and some heavy petting,
\nthey spent an evening watching the sun setting.
\nThe girls were given the boys high school rings.
\nNow, they were going steady, among other things.
\nThen, word came down that the night approached.
\nWhen the city would be attacked without reproach.
\nHowever, the boys wouldn\u2019t be in the raid.
\nThey would watch from shore in case any escaped.
\nOf course, they were disappointed with this.
\nDad said not to worry about what they would miss.
\nThey could watch it all on their laptops.
\n\u201cThe androids would be detected, likely as not.\u201d
\n\u201cReptiles could identify their alien signature.\u201d
\n\u201cBuilt as adults, it was displayed, it appears.\u201d
\n\u201cHowever, you Coz are different you see.\u201d
\n\u201cBecause you were almost totally built by me.\u201d
\n\u201cYou grew up as humans do.\u201d
\n\u201cYou are more human than alien. It\u2019s true.\u201d
\n\u201cJust like humans can\u2019t tell you are an android.\u201d
\nNeither can aliens, reptiles, or other androids.\u201d
\n\u201cWe will keep that fact a secret for now.\u201d
\n\u201cSo, just be human. Blend in somehow.\u201d
\nCoz had a plan on how to do that.
\nBut, it would involve telling the girls the facts.
\nDad wasn\u2019t sure that was a good idea.
\nBut, they convinced him. \u201cRemember Leah.\u201d
\nLeah was dad\u2019s wife and she knew all.
\nDad finally agreed. \u201cWe will succeed or fall.\u201d
