More Than A Friend (Part 13)<\/p>\n
A couple nights later in the week,
\nthey were parked at the beach.
\nIn the parking lot to get a good view.
\nIt was dark, no moon to give a clue.
\nRight on time they saw the light.
\nOn the horizon. It was very bright.
\nOn their laptop they could see it all.
\nThe underwater city went up in a bright ball.
\nAt the last second, a sub jetted away.
\nThey got a call saying they were on the way.
\nA half hour later a sub surfaced in the cove.
\nJust as they expected after being told.
\nA raft appeared with 5 people on board.
\nCoz and Tom moved to the beach as one accord.
\nThe raft landed and all hoped out.
\nCoz made the high pitched noise. They fell about.
\nTrashing and holding their heads.
\nThey changed into reptiles. Nothing was said.
\nThey saw Coz and Tom and charged.
\nRunning fast in the sand was hard.
\nTom fired a spear gun hitting one in the neck.
\nViolet-red blood sprayed out and it fell, a wreck.
\nCoz froze another right on the spot.
\nIt fell over and broke up a lot.
\nAnother one was wearing a metal veil.
\nCoz sent him backward hard into a metal rail.
\nIt\u2019s head popped open like a ripe melon.
\nIt didn\u2019t have time for any yellin.
\nBy then, one was swinging a club at Tom.
\nCoz sent out a protective shield for Tom.
\nThe reptile could not penetrate it.
\nTom checked his computer, yelled \u201cYour fit.\u201d
\nBoth reptiles began to run away.
\nIt was the biggest mistake they made that day.
\nThey were both wearing metal vests.
\nThey slammed together so hard it was a mess.
\nWhen there were no more reptiles to stand.
\nthe girls came running through the sand.
\nThey flung their arms around the guys.
\nStarted giving them kisses and cried.
\n\u201cWe were worried for awhile\u201d
\n\u201cBut, you took care of them in style.\u201d
\n\u201cWhat will we do with them now?\u201d
\n\u201cI will show you\u201d said Coz with a growl.
\nHe turned them and all the gore
\nInto fine ash. They were no more.
\nHe burned everything else related to them.
\n\u201cHow about the sub?\u201d Raywin said with a grin.
\nCoz sent a red hot beam and hit the sub\u2019s side.
\nIt made a hole like a burn in someone\u2019s hide.
\nHe made several more at the water line.
\nThe sub started sinking and was gone in no time.
\nIt was all caught on film and sent to Coz\u2019s dad.
\nHe said \u201cGood work kids!!\u201d He was real glad.
\nThe androids who blew the city saw the fight too.
\nThey said \u201cI wouldn\u2019t want to go a round with you.\u201d
\nThey headed to the car, arms around each other.
\nThey went home to Coz\u2019s father and mother.
\n\u201cSo ends round one of androids vs reptiles.\u201d
\n\u201cLet\u2019s hope every fight ends this good.\u201d He smiled.
\n\u201cIt is still early. You kids go have some fun.\u201d
\nWith that, his research had just begun.
\nThat night was real lovey dovey.
\nAs the kids went cruzing and did some putting.
\nAt the miniature golf course, what else?
\nBasically, they just stuck to themselves.
\nWill there be another android vs reptile war?
\nMost likely, but not for awhile after this big score.<\/p>\n
