The Country Way<\/p>\n
The time has come to run.
\nWe\u2019ve been having lots of fun.
\nBut, our time of joy is over.
\nEither run, or push up clover.
\nEach of them has a gun.
\nThey will shoot us just for fun.
\nIt is time to color us gone.
\nNow, run faster than a fawn.
\nSee you when it\u2019s over and done.
\nThen we will have more fun.
\nThey won\u2019t chase us very far.
\nEven if they use a car.
\nThey lose interest very fast.
\nNothing they do seems to last.
\nThey are just good old country boys.
\nA guitar, a beer, and make some noise.
\nThey don\u2019t care who lost or won.
\nOnly if daddy has his white shotgun.
\nThey want it formal, win or lose.
\nThen it\u2019s back to drinking booze.
\nSo we will lie low for awhile.
\nSoon, we will be able to smile.
\nThen I will walk up to him.
\nAnd say: \u201cGuess what? Were next of kin.\u201d<\/p>\n
