Never Pleasing Weather<\/p>\n
Well, today it\u2019s hotter than hell.
\nI hope I can make it through this spell.
\nOh what fun to be on a beach.
\nCool water within my reach.
\nBut, the sand would burn my feet.
\n\u201cNothing works,\u201d I cry in defeat.
\nI will lay here with a cold beer.
\nSorry darling, you can\u2019t be near.
\nIt is too damned hot to fool around.
\nToday is hot enough to kill a clown.
\nSlowly, the day drags by.
\nAs the boiling sun creeps across the sky.
\nI could fry eggs on the sidewalk.
\nBut, it\u2019s too hot to even walk.
\nI feel as if my tongue will swell.
\nI\u2019m melting away. Anyone can tell.
\nI am wet everywhere.
\nSweaty feet to dripping hair.
\nMore beer, I must stay hydrated.
\nWithout it I become dehydrated.
\nHave you ever suffered through heat like this?
\nIt is so hot there is no need to piss.
\nBeing inside doesn\u2019t help at all.
\nIt is stifling. I can\u2019t even crawl.
\nI\u2019ll fill the tub with water and soak in it.
\nMaybe that will cool me a little bit.
\nI feel like cutting carrots and onions.
\nAdding them to the tub. The fun begins.
\nAahhh!!, what am I thinking?
\nI\u2019ll just lie here and keep on reeking.
\nThen, I turned on the TV and got the news.
\nThey said the stores were running out of booze.
\nWorst news I\u2019ve never heard.
\nTill they told me what will occur.
\nAnother 5 days of this retched heat.
\nI should die and admit defeat.
\nBut, no. I will tough it out.
\nThen, in 6 days I will shout.
\n\u201cI\u2019m alive!!, but now it\u2019s cold, no doubt.\u201d<\/p>\n
