The day has come, it\u2019s finally here
\nThe 1.000th poem will now appear.
\nIt has taken quite awhile.
\nHopefully, it will make you smile.
\nYes, there will be more poems to come.
\nIt may all seem a waste to some.
\nBut, others will enjoy them a lot.
\nNot trying to pin you to the spot.
\nI write poems to pass the time.
\nI write poems. Is that a crime?
\nI write poems to provoke thought.
\nBetter to consider than to not.
\nI write poems to say who I am.
\nI write poems because I can.
\nI write poems as a hobby.
\nSometimes, while drinking a hot toddy.
\nI write story poems to entertain.
\nI write humor to keep myself sane.
\nSome have said these aren\u2019t really poems.
\nThat\u2019s like saying are pennies really coins?
\nThey are not worth much, but they add up.
\n1,000 is a good start to shut them up.
\nSometimes poems are a real challenge.
\nOther times, they roll right out while I lounge.
\nMany poems take a lot of thought.
\nOther poems may be better forgot.
\nBut, if it brings entertainment and joy to one.
\nThen, it is worth it to make sure they come.<\/p>\n
