Speed Kills<\/p>\n
Yesterday I was tearing up the road.
\nUp ahead, a truck, with a heavy load.
\n\u201cOut of my way. I got a license to fly.\u201d
\nThe truck pulled over and let me by.<\/p>\n
In my mirror, I saw a motorcycle.
\nUp the middle is where he might go.
\nSure enough, he started to come on by.
\nI opened my door and made him fly.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m a terror on wheels, ripping up the road.
\nIf you\u2019re in my way, I\u2019ll knock you out cold.
\nI\u2019ve got 4-11 gears and dual exhausts.
\nFuel injection. I can really get lost.<\/p>\n
When walking, I wouldn\u2019t hurt an ant.
\nIn my car,—- I rave and rant.
\nIf people are slow, I pass them on the right.
\nI am twice as bad when driving at night.<\/p>\n
I live for speed and speed loves me.
\nI go so fast, the world\u2019s a blur to see.
\nMaybe I should slow down. I see spots.
\nThe lines in the road look like dots.<\/p>\n
Then it happened. The cops are after me.
\nBy then, my tail lights was all they could see.
\nI made a left, then another quick right.
\nShut it down, off with the lights.<\/p>\n
They went cruising by, it was late at night.
\nI went the other way. I was soon out of sight.
\nThey can\u2019t catch me. I\u2019m as fast as lightening.
\nI am so fast, at times it is frightening.<\/p>\n
On my tombstone, the epitaph will read.
\nEverywhere he went with speed.
\nBut, he couldn\u2019t outrun death.
\nSo here he lies, buried in his Vette.<\/p>\n
