Lily Pad Power<\/p>\n
We were down fishing in the pond one day.
\nDozens of lily pads were getting in our way.
\nWe decided to clean the pond of them.
\nIt was long hard work. Why pretend.
\nWe left them all on the bank to dry.
\nSeveral days later, we looked up in the sky.
\nWe saw a UFO hovering over the pond.
\nA blue light was waving like a wand.
\nIt was shining on the shore and the lily pads.
\nFinally, it took off and we were glad.
\nWe approached the pond and looked down.
\nThe lily pads were all dried up on the ground.
\nWe picked one up and it smelled like hemp.
\nWe picked them all up to take as we went.
\nWe decided to crush some up and smoke it.
\nWe thought we were showing some real wit.
\nA couple of puffs and we were stoned.
\nWow!! What a rush, we groaned.
\nNext, we noticed the super powers. How rad.
\nWe had all the powers Superman had.
\nAny super power we could think of.
\nWe could do it. We had found our love.
\nThen, the powers began to fade.
\nWe puffed more lily pads that we craved.
\nWe found that we had to smoke first to fly.
\nTo do anything else that we could try.
\nThen, we thought about our limited supply.
\nOnce it was gone, we would no longer fly.
\nThe UFO light is what changed the pads.
\nIt was gone now. It was very sad.
\nWe decided we would only smoke it in an emergency.
\nWhen our super powers would be needed, see.
\nWe could never tell anyone of this.
\nWe could never let anyone know the risk.
\nOur identities would remain top secret.
\nLily pad power would be our secret.<\/p>\n
