That Morning Cup Of Coffee<\/p>\n
A cup of coffee in the morning is great!!
\nI was half awake cause I stayed up late.
\nI poured the coffee and took a swig.
\nBurned my mouth doing that little gig.
\nVerbal vomit flew from my mouth.
\nAlong with the coffee that I did spout.
\nWell,—- I am wide awake now!!
\nAnd mad enough to kick a cow.
\nAs I nursed my swollen mouth,
\nI staggered over & sat on the couch.
\nEventually, the coffee cooled down.
\nI started sipping it with a frown.
\nWhy do we need this java every morning?
\nSo we can burn ourselves without warning?
\nBut, if careful, we can manage one cup.
\nTo drag our tired ass out of the rut.
\nCoffee!! Nectar of the gods.
\nBitter as hell, but against all odds,
\nIt has become a popular drink.
\nStart your day feeling in the pink.
\nIs it the caffeine perking you up?
\nIs it the flavor, with creamer in your cup?
\nWhatever, it seems to be addictive.
\nHealthy effects are also predicted.
\nDespite the burned mouth, it is a plus.
\nThe favorite drink for most of us.<\/p>\n
